Washington Wizards guard Bradley Beal has been the subject of a lot of trade speculation throughout the early going of the NBA season. While Beal has not officially demanded a trade, or even hinted that he wants out, there seems to be a general consensus that he’s going nowhere fast in Washington.
Beal only has so many years left of playing at a high level, and many insiders have been gearing up for the likelihood that he’ll eventually want to go play for a contender. However, a new report indicates that Bradley Beal has no intention of leaving Washington. In fact, he wants to stay.
Bradley Beal has so far expressed he wants to remain with the Wizards and has not indicated he prefers a trade, per sources.
Beal, however, feels frustrated for the portrayal of his situation in D.C.

Waiting on Giannis and Beal could cost us another finals run in Jimmy’s prime. Didn’t want to pay the full price for Harden, had zero interest in CP3, treated Oladipo like a sidehoe, didn’t want to give multi year contracts to players like Wood/Crowder/Grant etc

I think there are two ways of looking at the Bradley Beal situation. For starters, it’s kind of refreshing to see a guy stay loyal to the team he’s been with for his whole career. It seems like the NBA is made up of a lot of divas who force their way out of situations when things get the least bit dicey. That isn’t Bradley Beal.
On the flip side, why wouldn’t Bradley Beal want to get traded? If Washington were to commit to a rebuild, and grant Bradley Beal a trade, he should pounce on the opportunity. Also, does this really look like a guy who is really committed to winning in Washington?

This whole Bradley Beal situation seems a little odd to me. Maybe we’ll get some more clarity as time goes on.
