NFL Insider Jeremy Fowler Reveals That Another Team Had A Better Offer For Odell Beckham Jr.

NFL insider Jeremy Fowler revealed Saturday morning that Odell Beckham Jr’s best offer actually came from the Seattle Seahawks, not the Los Angeles Rams.

The Seattle Seahawks currently have DK Metcalf and Tyler Lockett, but they were reportedly looking at adding the former Pro Bowl WR to their squad.

No official numbers were thrown out, but Fowler stated that “Seattle actually made the strongest offer over the first few days. Rams stepped in w/ heavy incentives because they wanted the player, but they also had to ensure no other NFC West team got him. Arizona also inquired.”

From the looks of it, the Los Angeles Rams essentially wanted to keep OBJ off another NFC West team.

The NFC West looked like one of the toughest divisions on paper coming in to the season, but injuries have derailed the first half of the season for the Seahawks and the San Francsico 49ers.

Currently the Arizona Cardinals are leading the division at 8-2, while the Rams are 7-3, the 49ers are at 4-5, and the Seahawks are 3-6.

It’s hard to imagine that OBJ would have even considered going to a 3-6 team after asking to be released by the Cleveland Browns who were 5-4 before their loss on Sunday to the New England Patriots.

Look for the Rams to get OBJ more involved after their bye week this week as he played just 15 snaps in his first game on Monday.
