Patriots ‘Plan A’ at Quarterback Revealed by Patriots Insider

The New England Patriots are going into next season with one QB on their roster, Jarrett Stidham. Pretty much everyone assumes they’re going to make a move to acquire another QB. Might they resign Cam Newton, and give his style of play another go? Will the Patriots draft a QB, and start fresh with some new blood. Well, they might be looking to trade for a QB, and according to one Patriots insider, they’re looking at a familiar face.

According to Greg A. Bedard, the Patriots are looking towards a reunion with current San Francisco 49ers quarterback, Jimmy Garoppolo.

The Patriots landing Jimmy G would really bring everything back full circle. If Belichick had his choice a few years back, he probably would have kept Jimmy, and either forced Tom into retirement, or make him move to another team.

Jimmy doesn’t want take a big pay cut, so this might not work itself out.
