PGA To Implement Ban On All Trump Golf Courses, Including 2022 PGA Championship

Donald Trump is taking a lot of hits this week. After the MAGA “stop the steal” protest at the Capitol Building got violent, Trump has been banned from Twitter and Facebook. Now, the PGA is cracking down on the sitting president.

Breaking: PGA will be cancelling all tournaments and instituting a lifetime ban of ever holding events at Trump Courses including stripping Trump of hosting the 2022 PGA Championship, insider says. A sport governing body doing more than Congress.

In a column by Golfweek’s Eamon Lynch, it was reported that the PGA has been debating whether to move the 2022 PGA Championship at Trump National Bedminster golf club in New Jersey.

“The odds that ’22′s PGA Championship will happen as scheduled in New Jersey are about as good as the chances of you or I winning it. Seth Waugh, the PGA of America’s CEO, was a banker and has an alert eye for high-risk exposure. He knows that Trumpism is likely to be an equally incendiary force in the ’22 midterm elections and that any affiliation is poisonous. Waugh will be forced to move the event and face down a small but vocal faction of his membership who remain true believers. Moving its major from Trump National has been debated internally at the PGA for more than two years, but executives have been reluctant to antagonize a famously vindictive man who controls the Internal Revenue Service. Such concerns melt away in 10 days, if not sooner,” Lynch wrote.

The PGA is apparent not happy with the portrayal of golf as the game that Trump turned to while the country was in dire straits, and are trying to do what they can to end the stigma around the game. I’m sure Trump will do everything in his power to keep the tournament at his course. Or else he’s probably going to throw a whole tantrum.
