After the dust settled and PJ Tucker was able to gather his thoughts, he took to Instagram to share a heartfelt goodbye with the Milwaukee Bucks faithful.

“Wow.. I’m still a little lost for words to be honest. Still in shook but it is what it is. Today took a hard turn on the road of my career but like my grandma used to tell me..,” Tucker wrote on Instagram. “All you can control is what you can control. With that being said Milwaukee.. the city of MILWAUKEE!!!! You will never fully understand what y’all mean to me. Our time together however short will hold some of the best memories of my life forever. You took me in and had my back throughout our journey and I will FOREVER be grateful and hold you near to my heart. I can’t thank y’all enough.. WE WILL ALWAYS BE DAWGS!”

While the Milwaukee Bucks are losing one of their locker room leaders and a lock down defender in PJ Tucker, the Heat should feel real good about the first day of their free agency.

They have now acquired two players with championship pedigree in Tucker and Kyle Lowry. It was also reported that Miami was nearly a massive extension with Jimmy Butler.

After making the championship in 2020, the Heat took a step in the wrong direction last season. But with the acquisition of guys like PJ Tucker, Miami is making is clear they they think building a roster with experienced players is their way back to the top.
