Ex-Patriots Quarterback Ridiculously Claims Team Should Turn Off Rap Music Because Cam Newton ‘Distracted’ By It

Former Patriots quarterback Scott Zolak isn’t a fan of rap music. And he thinks he taking a negative toll on Cam Newton’s game.

Zolak, who played for the Pats from 1992-98 said that the rap music is clearly a distraction for Newton, being as he’s seen dancing in-between plays all the time.

“I’d turn off the rap music first of all,” Zolak said on 98.5 “The Sports Hub.” “Because I think it’s distracting for Cam here. Because in between every throw he’s dancing.”

Scott Zolak continued by saying that Cam Newton “can’t help himself” from dancing on the field.

Zolak also claimed that Mac Jones has a leg up in the QB battle because he doesn’t engage in anything other than football when he’s practicing.

“Like, he’s here to work. And everything is attention to detail,” Zolak said of Jones.

Cam Newton may have some issues, but I think it’s safe to say that a little dancing during practice isn’t affecting his game whatsoever.

During his time with Bill Belichick, the stern coach has done nothing but praise the work ethic and drive Cam displays on a daily basis.

I sincerely hope we don’t hear from Scott Zolak in the future.
