Simone Biles Opens Up On Her Uncharacteristic Start To The Olympics

All eyes were on Simone Biles at the start of the Tokyo Olympics.

As Biles and the USA women’s gymnastics team were hoping to continue their recent history of dominance, they hit some adversity early on in the games.

The team finished a point behind Russia in the qualifying rounds, and Biles even had a few missteps along the way.

Simone Biles took to social media to share her feelings.

“it wasn’t an easy day or my best but I got through it,” Biles said on Instagram. “I truly do feel like I have the weight of the world on my shoulders at times. I know I brush it off and make it seem like pressure doesn’t affect me but damn sometimes it’s hard hahaha! The olympics is no joke! BUT I’m happy my family was able to be with me virtually🤍 they mean the world to me!”

Despite the poor qualifier, Simone Biles and the USA women are still favorites to take home the gold medal during Tuesday’s meet.

Biles knows that all eyes will be on her come tomorrow, and she appears to be poised to take on the pressure with her usual cool demeanor.

Nobody said it was going to be easy for Simone Biles and Team USA, but I certainly wouldn’t bet against the GOAT.
