Tennessee Baseball Trolls Football Program With McDonald’s Bag Home Run Celebration

Tennesse has probably gotten used to rival SEC teams mocking them over the McDonald’s bag ordeal. However, seeing one of the school’s own programs troll the football team was unexpected, to say the least. That’s exactly what happened recently during Tennessee baseball’s 21-1 win over Arkansas Pine-Bluff. One of the team’s players held up a McDonald’s bag after rounding the bases following a home run. If you look closely in the video below you can see him hold up the bag just before reaching the dugout.

Tennessee is going to get taunted with McDonald’s jokes for the foreseeable future. But getting trolled by your own programs is a tough look for UT. To me, this feels like a low blow but I am definitely here for it. The whole McDonald’s bag story is absurd and I still can’t believe it, to be honest. Tennessee deserves to get mocked for it and if that means it comes from their own programs too then so be it.

Maybe this is the Tennessee baseball team trying to protect the Univesity from others. If they simply own it and make a joke out of it themselves then others can’t continue to use it against them. The tactic never works and it won’t work here. But hey, if you are inevitably going to get mocked by others you might as well have some fun with it. Good for Tennessee Baseball.
