The Heat’s Tyler Herro Turned A Thirsty Tweet To Kyle Kuzma’s Ex Into A Quarantine Love Story For The Ages

Right as the world moved into quarantine, Miami Heat rookie Tyler Herro shot his shot, as remorselessly as he typically does, directly at Katya Elise Henry’s hoop:

And now just a month and a half later:

Herro … from deep!

As Mike Breen would say, “BANG!” But how can you not love Tyler Herro? The kid is fearless on the court with his relentless bombing from 3 and now with all the time in the world on his hands and Miami’s finest a stone’s throw away, he shoots for the moon and touches down like a young Neil Armstrong with a quarantine love affair.

Much like our Herro, I’m sure many of us can relate to the rapid changes to life that quarantine time has provided us. And sure it’s not all roses, as I talked about on my personal podcast today about the wars going on in my apartment over my girlfriend’s occasional poor choices in TV shows while we’ve stayed at home together. It can be a stressful situation for people who maybe felt pressed into action to not be alone during these trying times as well as for couples who maybe went from more casual times to what feels like your first year of marriage basically overnight.

But Tyler Herro seems stoked in that video. And, even if he isn’t, he shot his shot on Twitter and both he and Katya seemingly got what they wanted. Maybe it’d be one of those classic “monkey’s paw” wishes that has an ironic twist if they grew to hate each other when forced to be in close quarters 24/7. Instead, they seem still stoked to be around each other. Tyler even looks like he’s upped his game with glasses that make him look like he owns a series of leatherbound books. I hope Duncan Robinson is keeping up wherever he is.

Either way, Tyler Herro and Katya Elise Henry are thriving in quarantine and perhaps they should be an inspiration to us all. Love, much like crippling viral pandemic germs, is in the air.

Based on that last pic, if Herro tried this celebration he did with Jimmy Butler with her, he might literally get sent flying to the moon:
