White Sox Slugger Yermin Mercedes Rocks Epic New Haircut

Chicago White Sox catcher Yermin Mercedes has certainly made the most of his opportunities this season. Now, he’s got an epic new haircut to go with his on-field game.

Yermin Mercedes Gets New Nickname-Inspired Haircut

Prior to the 2021 season, Yermin Mercedes had one career MLB at-bat. Now, he is hitting just below .300, driving in runs and is an integral part of the potent Chicago White Sox lineup.

The 28-year-old goes by the nickname ‘The Yerminator’. Well, thanks to a new haircut, that epic nickname is now spelled out for all to see.

Now THAT, ladies and gentlemen, is style!

It’s one thing to have a short nickname or a jersey number engraved. But a full 10-letter long nickname like ‘The Yerminator’? Now that takes some serious skill.

Maybe this is Yermin Mercedes’ way of celebrating snapping out of a brutal hitting slump. The Dominican Republic native had been in an 0-for-25 slump until Saturday night when he roped this walk-off single to left in the bottom of the ninth inning.

The crazy thing is that even after that slump, Yermin Mercedes is still hitting .296 on the season. He has 56 total hits, 31 RBIs, seven home runs and 19 total runs scored on the year.

Through the efforts of him and others, the Chicago White Sox hold a three-game lead in the AL Central Division.

Now, ‘The Yerminator’ has a major lead in the clubhouse for the best cut in the majors too.
