Yadier Molina Wants Cardinals To Sign Albert Pujols

MLB fans everywhere were surprised to see that future Hall-of-Famer Albert Pujols was released by the Los Angeles Angels.

While Albert Pujols has been an Angel for ten years now, he’ll really be remembered as a Cardinal, where he won his two World Series Championships. Sure enough, Cardinals nation is calling for Pujols to come home, and return to St. Louis for one last hoorah.

Even long-time catcher Yadier Molina wants to see Albert Pujols join the squad. Yadi posted an Instagram picture of him and Albert with the caption, “one last dance, bro?”.

While Molina would like to see Pujols return,  I’m not sure he fits with the Cardinals. Pujols can’t really play the field at this stage of his career, and if he did, he’d be a first baseman. The Cardinals have All-Star Paul Goldschmidt holding down the fort at first base.

Albert Pujols has also shown no interest in being a bench player. He wants to play everyday. Maybe he’d take a new role in order to go back to St. Louis?

I doubt it.
