Mets GM Zack Scott Becomes Latest Team Employee In Trouble Following DUI Arrest

Zack Scott has been filling in as the New York Mets’ interim GM after an offseason scandal outed Jared Porter for sending inappropriate messages to female media members.

On Wednesday, Scott found himself in some trouble, as well.

Zack Scott was reportedly booked for a DUI when officers found him asleep in his vehicle early Tuesday morning.

Per the report:

“Acting General Manager Zack Scott is facing driving while intoxicated charges after he was busted dozing in his car in White Plains, The Post has learned.

Scott, 44, was nabbed at 4:17 a.m. Tuesday when cops caught him snoozing in a 2018 Toyota on South Lexington Avenue near the federal courthouse, White Plains Police Capt. James Spencer said Wednesday.

The embattled GM refused to give blood or submit to a breathalyzer but underwent a field sobriety test and failed, Spencer said.

He was charged and released and is due back in White Plains City Court on Thursday.”

The New York Mets released a statement regarding the DUI arrest of Zack Scott.

As previously stated, the Zack Scott trouble is just the latest infraction during the team’s recent history of off-field issues.

In addition to Porter, former manager Mickey Callaway was also accused of sexual harassment, and has been suspended by the MLB.

Seriously, what is wrong with the New York Mets?
