Monday’s tilt includes the fifth-place Leverkusen and a relegation-faced Werder Bremen. Bremen has only kept one clean sheet in 27 matches this season. They’ll be looking to patch things up defensively coming off the two-month layoff. With nine wins and a draw in their last 10, anything less than a win will disappoint Leverkusen. Leverkusen is more or less fully fit, with only striker Kevin Volland listed as doubtful. Bremen are still feeling some effects of injury, missing a few key players such as Ludwig Augustinsson and Davy Klaassen. Let’s get into some Bundesliga DFS picks.

Bayer 04 Leverkusen
Volland’s absence will thrust Kai Havertz ($9,800) into an advanced attacking role, which he has thrived in. Behind him in advanced wing/CAM roles looks to be Karim Bellarabi ($11,000) and Moussa Diaby ($10,400). There are a few other options in those roles, including Jamaican international Leon Bailey and Nadiem Amiri. Assuming it’s Bellarabi and Diaby who start, set pieces likely will filter to Charles Aranguiz ($6,400). Aranguiz should grade out as one of the best values of the day assuming Amiri and Bailey don’t start. Circling back to Bellarabi and Diaby, while they are overpriced, the matchup is strong. They’re squarely in the mix in all formats. Bellarabi’s floor tops Diaby’s.
Wendell ($6,200) will not grade out as a top play per dollar, but still brings upside to the table. He’d be best stacked with goalkeeper Lukas Hradecky ($7,200) in a low-scoring, Leverkusen clean sheet game script.
Werder Bremen
Kosovo international Milot Rashica ($9,200) is the heart of the Bremen attack and he’ll be relied on heavily to create if they have plans on escaping relegation. This is a match I see them getting a draw or win in, and Rashica is the closest thing to a lock on this slate in my opinion.
Nuri Sahin ($3,600) might siphon some corners from Rashica, and his price makes him a fair option in the value tier. Just know that goal upside is few and far between with Sahin. Rounding out the attack with Rashica are Leonardo Bittencourt ($7,800) on the left flank and Davie Selke ($4,400) at striker. Selke’s floor is extremely low and his price reflects such. Sub-$4,500 for a decent bet for a goal is not a bad offer. Bittencourt, on the other hand, feels somewhat in the middle ground. He has the ability to produce whether it be through shots, crosses, chances created or even fouls drawn and tackles won. He has plenty of paths to success. Lastly up is central midfielder Maximilian Eggestein ($3,600) and wingbacks Marco Friedl ($5,000) and Theodor Gebre Selassie ($4,400). All three deserve consideration and grade out slightly ahead of Selke in that range.
