DraftKings & FanDuel EPL DFS Picks Today

**All Odds from BetMGM**

Brentford (-160) vs. Norwich (+425), O/U 2.5

Chelsea (-400) vs. Burnley (+1,200), O/U 2.5

Crystal Palace (+140) vs. Wolverhampton (+200), O/U 2.5

Brighton (-155) vs. Newcastle (+425), O/U 2.5

Forwards/Midfield

Ivan Toney (DraftKings: $8,800, FanDuel: $18)

Teemu Pukki (DraftKings: $5,300, FanDuel: $16)

Brentford will play host to Norwich City on a short EPL slate. Norwich is allowing 2.4 expected goals on the road, dead last in the EPL. Brentford’s offense is not impressive at home, with just 1.32 expected goals to match the actual goals scored per match. The matchup advantage is there for Brentford, and these teams are well acquainted dating back to the championship a season ago. Norwich took their home match, and Brentford drew theirs in the previous meetings. Goal-hunting options for each team play a big role, and the odds for both teams to score is +100, which is less than favorable, making them GPP options.

Ivan Toney kicks off the GPP hunting list with 33% goal contribution on a team that ranks below average in total goals scored. He averages 2.4 shots per match and handles penalties for Brentford. The price is high for a player with no floor. He has the matchup advantage, and his metrics against Championship teams saw a near double shot output per match with plenty of brace upside.

Teemu Pukki comes in with a surprising price. Norwich is the worst offensive team in the EPL, recording just three goals. But in their matches against Brentford they broke through the clean-sheet mark. Pukki failed to find the back of the net in either game. He has just 1.49 shots per match and two goals, accounting for all but one of the team total. He handles PKs and offers a similar floor to Toney. Pukki fits the forward mark at a cheap enough tag to swallow a no-show performance in cash matches given the salary relief to stack a Chelsea onslaught.

Wilfried Zaha (DraftKings: $7,500, FanDuel: $16)

Raul Jimenez (DraftKings: $8,500, FanDuel: $20)

The options are below for Chelsea. The Crystal Palace – Wolverhampton match could be a sneakily high-scoring bout. Crystal Palace will come into this match with confidence, having upset Manchester City, and Wolverhampton’s offense is clicking since adding Hwang Hee-Chan. Palace has 1.14 expected goals per match, and Wolverhampton is slightly above with 1.34. The Wolves have allowed a goal in four consecutive matches, while Palace saw their first clean sheet in their previous outing. With both teams feeling they are the better team in this clash, both teams to score (+100) is a live mark. For DFS purposes, the attack on either team makes sense.

Hwang is an option with shot volume and his impressive scoring. Raul Jimenez is finding his form and averages 2.44 shots per match. He handles penalties and is contributing on scoring with an even split of goals and assists. At the midfielder role it is hard to find a better value than Francisco Trinchado at the wing. Should he get the start, he has posted at least two shots from distance in each start and averages 2.57 per match. His on-target rate of 44% is greater than Pukki’s for Norwich, and he has the far superior supporting cast.

The hosts look to the duo of Conor Gallagher and Wilfried Zaha to seek 3 points at home. Gallagher has 34% goal contribution for Crystal Palace, and Zaha has 30%. While the price has climbed on Gallagher, his floor and upside are still enough with 4.33 crosses and 2.11 drawn fouls per match. The mix of shot volume and created chances makes him a core play on both DraftKings and FanDuel. Zaha handles the PK sets and draws fouls at a rate of 3.11 per match. The shot volume is not there, but the mix of created chances sees him totaling 2.88 per match.  Pairing two from both Crystal Palace and Wolverhampton and Brentford with Chelsea would be different in a GPP setting where the likely builds come from four-man Chelsea and some mix of Toney and the Brentford set-piece man below.

Other Options: Kai Havertz (DraftKings $8,200, FanDuel $20), Hakim Ziyech (DraftKings $7,400, FanDuel $17), Kenny McLean (DraftKings $3,600, FanDuel $9), Christian Pulisic (DraftKings $8,600, FanDuel $16)

Defense

Sergi Canos (DraftKings: $5,500, FanDuel: $12)

Sergi Canos handles the set shares for Brentford. He averages 4.1 crosses per match and does well in transition with 2.20 won tackles/interceptions. At the price, the matchup calls for offensive production. Canos averages just 1.4 shots and assisted shots per match. That number clears two on average, with matchups against Arsenal (the early-season weaker team), Burnley, Wolverhampton and Aston Villa. All these teams have less-than-ideal defensive marks this season but are still far greater than Norwich. Canos is a core play in any format and can fit alongside whichever Chelsea wingback starts.

Other Options: Ben Chilwell (DraftKings $7,500, FanDuel $15), Reece James (DraftKings $7,800, FanDuel $13), Rayan Ait-Nouri (DraftKings $5,000, FanDuel $8)

Goalkeeper

Edouard Mendy (DraftKings: $5,900, FanDuel: $13)

Alvaro Fernandez (DraftKings: $5,600, FanDuel: $12)
