The Saturday EPL DFS slate continues the four-game format on DraftKings. On FanDuel there are six total games, which include the two afternoon matches. The biggest favorites are Chelsea -303 (BetMGM) and Liverpool -250 (BetMGM). Chelsea is taking on a depleted Wolverhampton squad that has allowed 1.44 expected goals on the road. Chelsea is playing to secure a trip to the Champions League next season and will look to come away with the win to avoid slipping points to Tottenham and Arsenal, who are closing in. Tottenham has a tough task ahead against Liverpool. Tottenham and Liverpool both have a lot to play for, as Liverpool needs to win and hope for Manchester City to slip in the standings. Tottenham is chasing that final Champions League spot. This game presents one of the best bets of the weekend, with the total reaching over 2.5 goals at -188 (BetMGM). The return offers little to no value but both are desperate to score, and that will open up a press from the opposition.

EPL DFS Picks Today: DraftKings & FanDuel Fantasy Soccer

Below are the top EPL DFS picks today on DraftKings and FanDuel for Matchday 36, which consider all aspects of the slate, from Awesemo’s expert fantasy soccer projections to pricing to popularity for DFS fantasy soccer. These EPL DFS soccer picks should help with creating highly projected lineups in DraftKings and FanDuel fantasy soccer tournaments and cash games.

Forwards/Midfielders

Wilfried Zaha (DraftKings: $9,900, FanDuel $18)

Eberechi Eze (DraftKings: $7,300, FanDuel $9)

Crystal Palace comes in as a -154 (BetMGM) favorite at home against Watford. Watford has been a targeting point the past few weeks, as it allows 1.77 expected goals on the road. This is actually an improvement from their league-worst home defensive mark. They have lost eight of their last 10 matches and conceded two-plus goals in every loss. Crystal Palace handed them a 4-1 beatdown in their previous outing. Crystal Palace broke a three-game scoreless drought in that match and should find little resistance from Watford compared to the previous battles with Chelsea and Newcastle. The core play is Eberechi Eze. He has made his way back to the starting lineup and handles the indirect set shares. Eze averages 1.35 shots and 4.86 crosses per match. He averages 3.21 created chances, trailing only Wilfried Zaha on the team. His floor is bumped by 2.16 drawn fouls per match, and the price is too low for the goal contribution upside added to a floor that would put him over 1.75x value.

The goal hunter is Zaha, who leads the club in scoring. The concern is the high salary. Zaha offers a decent floor with 4.03 drawn fouls per match and 3.51 scoring chances created. He handles the penalties and has contributed on 28% of Crystal Palace’s scoring, but the lack of shot volume on a large slate of matches makes him strictly a GPP play. On FanDuel 10% shares will get plenty of leverage against the Liverpool, Chelsea and Tottenham attackers in GPPs. Should he see the starting 11 again, Jean Philippe-Mateta is priced low for the matchup and his 2.82 shot per match volume. Mateta hits target at 48% and costs less than $6,500 on DraftKings. On FanDuel, with two extra matches and a $14 price, he is hard to prioritize. His minutes are concerning, with just one 90-minute run in 19 appearances.

Christian Eriksen (DraftKings: $8,500, FanDuel $18)

Ivan Toney (DraftKings: $8,400, FanDuel $17)

After a three-game streak of two-plus goals, Brentford was humbled by Manchester United. Brentford now welcomes Southampton, which allows 1.74 expected goals on the road, third worst in the EPL. The core play is Christian Eriksen. He handles all set shares for the club and builds his floor on 9.06 crosses and 4.44 scoring chances created per match. This nearly doubles any teammate. The price has climbed, but his floor still is enough to pay it off without the upside of a goal contribution. He is a core play on DraftKings.

Ivan Toney leads Brentford in goals and drawn fouls at over 2.5 per match. His shot volume tallies 2.49 per match, and he is always a brace-upside play. The options on DraftKings at the forward spot with Watkins and Timo Werner offer salary relief and move Toney to a GPP play. A pivot to Toney for a price discount from Brentford is Bryan Mbeumo, who comes in at $7,100. He averages 2.38 shots and 2.31 scoring chances created per match. These metrics mirror Toney, and his mix of goals and assists brings his contribution rate $13 lower than Toney’s 40%. The tradeoff is over $1,000 in salary relief for a top floor/upside play.

Southampton presents a person of interest in James Ward-Prowse. His price is $9,500 on DraftKings, which adds appeal for the cheaper Eriksen and Mason Mount. Ward-Prowse is a GPP play over cash for the first time in a long time. His floor is always there with 8.17 crosses per match and a team-leading nine goals. He averages over three won tackles/interceptions per match. The matchup is not there, and Mount and Eriksen free up too much salary.

Ollie Watkins (DraftKings: $7,600, FanDuel $18)

Josh Brownhill (DraftKings: $5,300, FanDuel $16)

Chelsea is a top target on both DraftKings and FanDuel, more so on DraftKings without the Liverpool match. The Burnley – Aston Villa match might go overlooked with defenses that hold their own well. Ollie Watkins is worth a shot in GPP on DraftKings. He leads his club in goals and averages 2.38 shots per match. Watkins handles the penalties and creates 2.21 scoring chances for his club, but on FanDuel his price is too high.

Like last week, Josh Brownhill offers upside at a cheap enough price. He has found the attacking role and averages over three shots/assisted shots in his recent stretch. His three won tackles/interceptions per match give him enough of a floor to swallow the price tag should he fail to contribute on a goal.

Other Options: Cristiano Ronaldo (FanDuel $21), Danny Welbeck (FanDuel $14), Alexis Mac Allister (FanDuel $12), Teemu Pukki (DraftKings: $6,900, FanDuel $15), Kieran Dowell (DraftKings: $5,000, FanDuel $12), Emmanuel Dennis (DraftKings: $6,600, FanDuel $17), Mohammed Salah (FanDuel $21), Son Heung-Min (FanDuel $20), Luis Diaz (FanDuel $18)

Defenders

Lucas Digne (DraftKings: $6,300, FanDuel $11)

Hassane Kamara (DraftKings: $3,600, FanDuel $13)

Lucas Digne gets involved in the attack for Aston Villa. His crossing volume is massive at over 7.5 per match to offer a 2x floor without goal contribution due to assisted shots and defensive metrics. His health is a concern, and he cannot leave the match early at this price — like he has done on a number of occasions for Aston Villa and Everton this season. Marcos Alonso seems a safer play for the cash role despite the higher price. Digne is a GPP play at the defender spot on DraftKings, while Alonso is the cash choice. On FanDuel it is no question the pay-up target is Trent Alexander-Arnold.

With so much value and upside in the forward and midfield roles, punting one of the defenders is wise. Hassane Kamara can produce with or without his team holding possession. His won tackles/interceptions rate is 8.43 per match. This is an over 2x value without some crossing metrics when attacking. He is a core play for cash and GPP.

Other Options: Kyle Walker-Peters (DraftKings: $4,300, FanDuel $9), Reece James (DraftKings: $6,500, FanDuel $14), Rico Henry (DraftKings: $4,200, FanDuel $9) Rayan Ait-Nouri (DraftKings: $5,200, FanDuel $9)

Goalkeepers

David Raya (DraftKings: $5,100, FanDuel $12)

Emiliano Martinez (DraftKings: $4,900, FanDuel $11)
