These UCL DFS soccer picks should help with creating highly projected lineups in DraftKings and FanDuel fantasy soccer tournaments and cash games.
DraftKings & FanDuel UCL DFS Picks Today
Liverpool (-110) vs. Porto (+270), O/U 2.5
Club Brugge (+220) vs. RB Leipzig (+115), O/U 2.5
Sporting Lisbon (+160) vs. Dortmund (+150), O/U 2.5
Manchester City (-170) vs. PSG (+400), O/U 2.5
Sheriff (+950) vs. Madrid (-400), O/U 3.5
Atletico Madrid (-160) vs. AC Milan (+425), O/U 2.5
Karim Benzema (DraftKings: $11,200, FanDuel: $22)
Mohamed Salah (DraftKings: $10,500, FanDuel: $21)
The top goal-hunting options on the slate come with the highest tags. Real Madrid will take on Sheriff after a shocking loss to them in Madrid by the score of 2-1. Madrid dominated that match, with 11 shots on target and 73% possession. There is no reason to think this one will go differently other than the heroics of Giorgos Athanasiadis once again stopping all but a Karim Benzema penalty. Benzema accounts for 53.15% of Madrid’s scoring. He averages 4.14 shots per match and is always a brace threat when on the pitch. Alongside Benzema is Vinicius Junior and Lucas Vazquez in for the injured Eden Hazard. Junior comes in with a high price and is hard to pay up for. He would fall as strictly a GPP play. Vazquez is in a more interesting spot, coming in under $6,000 with proven success playing the winger role. He averages 3.33 crosses per match and creates 2.35 scoring chances. Junior leads the club in scoring chances created with 5.68 and takes more chances at the net with 2.94 shots per match. The heavy discount on the price makes Vazquez the preferred pairing alongside Benzema for salary relief to pay up for more spots on a six-game slate. Vazquez is viable on FanDuel at the defender spot with the offensive upside and the clean sheet eligibility should Madrid be aware of Sheriff’s counter punch this time around.
Liverpool is well above the pack to advance to the Round of 16. Should they run out a normal rotation, Mohamed Salah is the top goal-hunting option for them. He averages 51.4% goal contribution and 3.92 shots per match. Like Benzema, Salah will need to find the back of the net to pay off the price. Benzema comes in a match with more urgency, but Salah will not take his role lightly should he get the nod from Jurgen Klopp. Should Klopp run a few subs to start the match, Takumi Minamino stands out up front in place of Diogo Jota and Firmino. Minamino will have the luxury of feeding and getting passes from Salah and Sadio Mane. Minamino was once a top goal contributor for RB Salzburg before his limited roles since joining Liverpool. He was close to three shots per match and goal contribution in over 61% of his full-match runs.
Noah Lang (DraftKings: $4,300, FanDuel: $15)
Hans Vanaken (DraftKings: $6,400, FanDuel: $16)
RB Leipzig has allowed the most goals in the Champions League this campaign. They were massacred on defense by Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester City. With Rudd Vormer looking to sit this meeting out, Noa Lang will handle the indirect set shares. He comes in at a salary-saving price with a floor build on drawn fouls and crossing volume. He is looking like a DraftKings-specific play given the higher price on FanDuel, which would require more on-target shot attempts.
Hans Vanaken is the preferred option of the two on FanDuel, with penalty duties and a willingness to let it rip form anywhere on the pitch. He averages 1.94 shots per match but is more active in the Champions League, with over two per match on average. His on-target accuracy rate sits above 50%, and he has found the back of the net against these heavy hitting clubs in the group. The primary scoring option across the domestic campaign for the Belgium side is Charles De Ketelaere. He comes in at a steep price like Vanaken on DraftKings but will not require many shares to gain leverage in GPPs.
Christopher Nkunku and Andre Silva lead the charge. Silva handles the penalty sets and averages a shot on target in his limited sprits. Silva comes in at a discounted price and has the shooting volume in the Champions League to pay off the price should he find the back of the net. He will garner ownership given the odds boost and favorable price. Nkunku always brings in the ownership and the price has risen. He averages 2.86 shots per match and contributes on 34.7% of the visitors scoring.
Pedro Goncalves (DraftKings: $8,600, FanDuel: $18)
Paulinho (DraftKings: $8,400, FanDuel: $19)
Sporting CP will host Dortmund, who sit without Erling Haaland still. Dortmund took the first meeting 1-0. Both sides will be hard-pressed to see a victory in this outing, and the scoresheet could reflect a back-and-forth affair. Pedro Goncalves is now sitting with a price reflective of his contributions. He handles the penalty shares and averages 3.33 shots for the Portuguese side. He leads the club in goals scored and adds to his merit with 2.54 drawn fouls per match. Paulinho is also a scoring threat up front with 2.98 shots per match. Given the price and the matchup, both players are contrarian GPP plays.
Dortmund allows 3.75 shots on target and did well to control the time of possession split in their previous meeting. Even a swing with Sporting being at home would still have a near even distribution. Donyell Malen comes in at a near free price for a forward. His sub-$5,000 salary on DraftKings will make him popular up front, and for good reason. He has added some scoring chances in the absence of Haaland. Marco Reus will handle the set shares, including the penalty sets. His price is preferable to those of Goncalves and Paulinho for a $1,000 discount. On FanDuel Goncalves and Paulinho would make more sense given the slight favorite tag on the odds and the home-field comfort.
Other Options: Luis Suarez (DraftKings $7,500, FanDuel $19), Antoine Griezmann (DraftKings $7,200, FanDuel $5), Riyad Mahrez (DraftKings $9,500, FanDuel $19), Raheem Sterling (DraftKings $7,300, FanDuel $17), Lionel Messi (DraftKings $8,200, FanDuel $21). Kylian Mbappe (DraftKings $7,800, FanDuel $20). Toni Kroos (DraftKings $7,500, FanDuel $13)
Neco Williams (DraftKings: $4,500, FanDuel: $5)
Trent Alexander-Arnold looks to rest during this match. That will create open-play volume for Neco Williams. Williams has done well in his short spurts with Liverpool, averaging 3.19 won tackles/interceptions per match, and complements it with 2.14 drawn fouls and just over three crosses per match. He will not triple his price but has a floor to hit 2x and is in a favorable matchup with an expected full game run regardless of the outcome.
Other Options: Sime Vrsaljko (DraftKings $3,100, FanDuel $6), Angelino (DraftKings $5,700, FanDuel $12), Joao Cancelo (DraftKings $6,500, FanDuel $14). David Alaba (DraftKings $5,100, FanDuel $9)
Ederson (DraftKings: $5,500, FanDuel: $12)
Alison (DraftKings: $5,300, FanDuel: $11)
Simon Mignolet (DraftKings: $4,500, FanDuel: $9)
