Wilder vs. Fury 1 Recap

In the first meeting between these two fighters, Fury won the majority of the rounds. It was officially ruled as a split-even draw, which is why this rematch is happening.

Over how many rounds will the bout go?

  • Three rounds or more (-1,000) — Fury has predicted that he will knock Wilder out in Round 2, which is the only reason why we get these odds. It would be an absolute shock to see the fight end this early, especially by a Fury knockout. It becomes even more unlikely after looking back to the previous fight, where the two fighters mostly danced around early on.

Method of Victory

  • Wilder by KO/TKO/Technical Decision or DQ (+120) — It was previously mentioned that Fury is one of two fighters to enter a ring with Wilder and not get knocked out. The chances of lightning striking twice seems unlikely. Wilder’s right hand is one of the most dangerous in the history of the sport. Last fight’s experience will help Wilder deal with Fury’s unorthodox style, which is why he has been tough to send to the mat.

Will the fight go 12 Rounds?

  • No (-150) — To build off of the last prop, both fighters feel they won the first match, which could lead to them coming out a bit more aggressive. Obviously, Wilder has won 41 of 43 matches by knockout, which means he is not used to going the distance. On top of that, Wilder hasn’t even been knocked down since October of 2010, when he faced Harold Sconiers. The fight is not likely to go the distance, in favor of “The Bronze Bomber.”
