Pacers vs. Heat Game Info

Indiana Pacers (45-28) vs. Miami Heat (44-29)
Date: Saturday, Aug. 22, 2020
Time: 3:30 p.m. ET
Venue: ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex – Kissimmee, FL
Coverage: TNT

Entering the playoffs, Indiana had one of the bubble’s hottest players, in T.J. Warren. However, Miami has been his kryptonite. With Warren not being able to put the team on his back offensively, things have been tough for the Pacers. They have put up 100 and 101 points in their first two games, which is not enough offense to take down the Heat. Indiana needs to find more scorers today, if they don’t want to go down by three games.

Miami has been balanced and has had the Pacers’ number all season long. In the six matchups of Pacers vs Heat this season, five of them have gone Miami’s way. The one game that the Pacers won was the game right before playoffs, where both teams had players resting. One of the biggest surprises for the Heat in these two postseason games has been Goran Dragic, who entered the starting lineup. He has averaged 22 points and 5.5 assists, while shooting at an efficient rate.

Even when their star players struggle get the ball through the net, Miami seems to have too many solid role players that can step up and shoulder the offensive load. It has proven to be too much for Indiana, especially with their injuries.

Pacers vs. Heat Prop Bets

T.J. Warren – Points (Under 20.5)

Like I said above, the Heat have been T.J. Warren’s kryptonite all season long. Believe it or not, he averages just 10.3 points against Miami. Maybe Jimmy Butler was right when he said that Warren wasn’t even in his league. In the two playoff games, he scored 22 and 14, respectively. He only scored 22 in Game 1 because Victor Oladipo left with an eye injury and Warren was asked to do even more. With Oladipo back in the lineup last game, Warren return to his sub-20 average.

Goran Dragic – Points (Over 17.5)

Goran Dragic has entered the starting lineup this postseason and has been nothing short of terrific. He has averaged 22 points on 48.7 percent shooting. The biggest surprise, however, has been the amount of shots he is taking. Dragic put up 19 and 18 shots in the first two games, respectively. This amount of volume will again lead to him hitting the over on his point total.

Tyler Herro – Points (Over 13.5)

With the Heat getting healthy, Tyler Herro has slid back to a bench role. However, that does not mean a small role and that has not phased him in the slightest. He has played 34 and 35 in his first two postseason games. Despite shooting a measly 28.6 percent from the floor last game, Herro put up 15 points in both matchups. He is asked to come off the bench and be a spark to the offense, and he will continue to do that again today.

Tyler Herro – Made Threes (Over 1.5)

Herro has made at least three 3-pointers in three of his last four games against the Pacers and four of his last five games overall. Like I said above, he is going to play over 30 minutes and be asked to spark the offense. Herro also has a pretty shot and has the luxury of not being the top threat on the floor, resulting in open looks for the rookie.
