For today’s tennis DFS slate we get a similar mix of matches on hard and clay courts in Atlanta and Kitzbuhel respectively. As we cautioned yesterday many players have not played on the hard courts in some time so upsets were very possible. DraftKings is offering up much of the same theme with mostly qualifiers having more than one match on hardcourts in the last 6 months. With plenty to get through let’s get into some picks for our fantasy tennis lineups for Tuesday, July 27th.

Top Atlanta Open DraftKings Tennis DFS Picks
To help make one of the many difficult decisions, I will be using Awesemo’s industry-leading tennis DFS projections, which also include regressed match data and outcome probabilities.
John Isner ($9,700)
Opponent: JJ Wolf
Odds: -500 (SugarHouse)
John Isner is one of many who hasn’t played on the quickest surface in tennis but thankfully neither has his opponent JJ Wolf. Arguably the greatest server in the tour’s history Isner will look to take advantage of the hard surface in Atlanta with his 18.2 Ace per Match career average. Isner is always a popular choice in tennis DFS for this reason but is often priced a bit more favorably. That could work out in our favor in terms of ownership with the higher tag and names above him.
Wolf is also recovering from an abdominal injury and just working back into shape. This not only affects his ability to play the game overall but will also cut down the effectiveness of his serve which should help the less mobile Isner. The big American’s upside and floor are fantastic in this spot and hopefully we get a break in popularity.

Kevin Anderson ($7,100)
Opponent: Nick Kyrgios
Odds: +110 (SugarHouse)
This looks to set up nicely for Kevin Anderson going up against Nick Kyrgios. Anderson is in very strong form winning the Event in Newport dropping just two sets the entire tournament. When healthy, the veteran Anderson possesses a game that can hang with anyone, especially with 8 matches all year. Kyrgios is a popular play in tennis DFS circles because many like his flash and style so ownership on the recent champion will be lower than it would normally require. Along with the form, and positive matchup, the South African has enjoyed hardcourt tennis with 349 career Wins and 12.8 Aces per contest.
Kyrgios is an absolute Wild Card at all times while Anderson is consistently good when his legs hold up. I’ll take the savings and the assurance of the former Illini here in Atlanta.
