Wimbledon is on to Day 3 in London (sort of). The rain has hovered over Wimbledon for the first few days, causing all kinds of delays throughout. Even with the difficulties in scheduling, FanDuel has put together a 20-match slate from Round 2. There are some returnees from Monday’s DFS tennis pool. It should be another interesting set of matches, so let’s find some of the top Tennis DFS picks for Wednesday, June 30.
Top Wimbledon FanDuel Tennis DFS Picks Today
To help make one of the many difficult decisions, I will be using Awesemo’s industry-leading tennis DFS projections, which also include regressed match data and outcome probabilities.
Madison Keys ($20)
Opponent: Lauren Davis
Odds: -345 (SugarHouse)
Madison Keys is a sizeable favorite going up against fellow American Lauren Davis on what is her most successful surface (71% win percentage). Keys has always enjoyed Wimbledon, winning 16 of 24 matches here while also reaching the third round in five of her last seven appearances. Along with a strong career track record, this season Keys has gone 3-1 on grass with a nice win over Aryna Sabalenka. Her game translates well to grass with the combination of shot power and service game.
Keys is a big favorite, and with good reason. When comparing these two statistically and historically on the surface, Keys carries a big edge across the board. Davis has not put together a winning season on tour since 2016, but that will not continue here.
Iga Swiatek ($19)
Opponent: Vera Zvonareva
Odds: -250 (SugarHouse)
Once again Iga Swiatek is underpriced on a slate with plenty of tennis DFS options and favorites to like. At just $19, she’s the 13th-highest-priced favorite even at -250. The pricing and odds are adjusted to the veteran Vera Zvonareva’s success on the grass surface over her career including a Final appearance here (in 2010). Grass suits her well, but Swiatek is not a typical opponent.
Obviously these are two players headed in opposite directions of their career. Facing tough opponents along the way should only help Swiatek get more familiar with the surface and the nerves of Wimbledon. It also helps keep her price very reasonable, which is hard to come by in tennis DFS. With a 55% win probability per the Elo ratings, gamers can confidently get over the field with Swiatek.
Novak Djokovic, Elena Rybakina, Frances Tiafoe, Elise Mertens, Garbine Muguruza, Ekaterina Alexandrova
Sofia Kenin ($12, mispriced favorite), Jiri Vesely, Nadia Podoroska
