Today we get a 10-match slate that brings back the five-set matches for the men’s ATP Cordoba and Montpellier tournaments. There are several good tennis DFS plays we will take advantage of, and we will look into potential upsets. Let’s dive right in to the DraftKings tennis DFS picks like Yoshihito Nishioka for the Wednesday, Feb. 24 slate.
Montpellier & Cordoba DraftKings Tennis DFS Picks | Feb. 24
Tennis DFS Pick: Yoshihito Nishioka ($8,000)
Opponent: Maxime Cressy
Opened at -135
Maxime Cressy has put together a nice resume on the indoor-hard surface, winning over 70% of his matches, but he’s yet to beat someone in the top 100. Yoshihito Nishioka’s play can be up and down at times, but he has proven himself against top-ranked opponents such as Kyle Edmund. The difference in this matchup will most likely come down to who makes fewer errors, especially against a player like Cressy that can out-serve an opponent and still lose. Cressy is averaging almost 7 double faults per match in his last three as well as an eye popping 25 unforced errors. I expect Nishioka to get the win in four sets.
Tennis DFS Pick: Coco Gauff ($8,000)
Opponent: Petra Martic
Odds to win: -186
Coco Gauff has been in the zone recently and is riding a three-match win streak. She has already beaten two top-100 opponents in her last three matches, both in three sets. Unforced errors and double faults still plague Gauff, but there is considerable improvement in her play overall. Petra Martic hasn’t fully come into form and has been average at best on hardcourts in 2021. Gauff holds a slight lead in second-serve points won and return points won, but that should be enough to get the win in three sets.
Other plays: Soon-Woo Kwon
