Today there is a smaller eight-match slate, but still $5,000 is going to first. With smaller slates like this, picking the correct underdogs is very important for differentiation, as is picking the right high-priced players. Let’s dive into the DraftKings Tennis DFS picks for Wednesday’s slate.
DraftKings Tennis DFS Picks | April 28
Tennis DFS Pick: Kevin Anderson ($8,400)
Opponent: Roberto Carballes Baena
Kevin Anderson fired over 20 aces in his matchup against Frances Tiafoe, which is great for tennis DFS. This pick is more based off of Roberto Carballes Baena’s current form, which has seen him go 1-3 in his most recent matches. Baena’s return game has been his biggest weakness in the matches he has lost, which plays into Anderson’s powerful serve. Anderson should advance to the next round after a straight-sets win, and 10-plus aces should also be in play.
Tennis DFS Pick: Mackenzie McDonald ($6,300)
Opponent: Ilya Ivashka
Mackenzie McDonald has continued his meteoric rise on clay, winning seven of his last nine and the most recent loss coming against Rafael Nadal. McDonald has also looked dominant, winning all three of his clay matches in straight sets and averaging just 1.3 double faults per match. Ilya Ivashka has also been on a nice win streak on clay courts but hasn’t been as dominant in his wins, and he is also averaging 4.3 double faults per match. This should be a tough matchup for McDonald, but he can win in three sets given his current form.
Other plays: Alexander Zverev, Marin Cilic, Casper Ruud, Marco Cecchinato
