Free expert DraftKings tennis DFS picks today and Indian Wells Masters Predictions

It has been a while since tennis DFS has been on the map in any serious nature with Davis Cup complicating the schedule. Thankfully, we are full go once again as both the men’s and women’s sides are battling in California at the Indian Wells Masters with 1000 ranking points up for grabs. Thus far, favorites have fared pretty well but have been tested well with the spaced out schedule and surface changes from playing in South America and Europe. DraftKings has put $10,000 back up for grabs with the 16-match slate, so let’s get into some of the best DraftKings Tennis DFS picks today.

DraftKings Fantasy Tennis DFS Picks Today

Top Pick: Stefanos Tsitsipas ($8,400)

Opponent: Jensen Brooksby

It’s slightly difficult to understand the market’s line on the world’s No. 5 player Stefanos Tsitsipas facing American Jensen Brooksby but hopefully that keeps the general public away more than usual. Tsitsipas has looked strong in 2022 going 15-5 (W-L, 10-3 on hard) including three trips to the semis already. He did struggle in his first match here with Jack Sock but prevailed in a battling match which could prove large for his sometimes questionable confidence. Per tennisabstract, Tsitsipas lines up as a 62% probable winner, which is just slightly above the given odds and price on DraftKings.

Brooksby has looked solid so far in 2022 reaching the final in Dallas and coming off a solid win but the Greek is at least one level, if not many, above any opponent he’s seen this year. At this price there is huge value with one of the world’s best along with sweep upside making him a great play in all formats and unquestionably the best overall tennis DFS pick.

Fade Pick: Paula Badosa ($9,900)

Opponent: Sara Sorribes Tormo

It pains to make this pick but Paula Badosa gets a very tough matchup with countrywoman Sara Sorribes Tormo in this one. Badosa’s form in 2022 has been a bit erratic with a title in Sydney but after a defeat in the Australian Open she has won just two of her last five, including that defeat. Tormo is a difficult matchup for any player as she plays extremely defensive and is comfortable trading long rallies with little power exerted. In their previous five matches Badosa has had the upper hand three times but is carrying odds of something more like 5-0.

This is absolutely scary as the Badosa won this tournament in 2021 as somewhat of a coming out party to all of last season. There’s no question she’s a top-10 player on the tour but with the propensity for unforced errors and double faults her ceiling is limited considerably facing the mosquito that is Tormo. With just one fantasy score over 80 points on any slate and two outputs under 2o the risk is not worth the reward. This should be a fun match to watch the contrasting styles but not a good match to sweat for tennis DFS today.

Low-Owned Pick: Cameron Norrie ($10,100)

Opponent: Nikoloz Basilashvili

With names like Rafael Nadal, Daniil Medvedev, and Maria Sakkari surrounding the Brit Cameron Norrie there is no question he’ll get scrolled past even with a great matchup against Nikoloz Basilashvili. Norrie comes in with lesser odds than the previously mentioned Badosa even though he is 4-0 (W-L) against Basilashvili and coming off a finals appearance in Mexico — lost to Nadal. Along with the solid form and odds there is big time upside here for the favorite as the Georgian Basilashvili enjoys throwing games away often with his extremely inconsistent service game, ace against percentage, and double faults — 10.3% and 5.5% for the last two respectively.

It’s a 16-match slate, so ownership is not of the utmost concern as we are more in search of the optimal plays but with this matchup and slate we catch a break and get a combination of both. However, if you’re looking for a contrarian play, this is one of the best low-owned tennis DFS picks today.

I enjoy all sports and I'm definitely not a diehard Packers fan, or any team for that matter besides maybe the Wild. Love to travel with the wife and kid - Germany if I'm picking a favorite place.
