WNBA DFS Degenerate, Fantasy Basketball Picks for June 11

Welcome to our new WNBA DFS breakdown column with Seth!

Enter the WNBA with another exciting three-game slate. One of the things I want to emphasize is a lot of WNBA coaches ride the hot hand, so thus when Kelsey Mitchell gets hot they feed her and Erica Wheeler rides the bench. Or Tianna Hawkins plays well and LaToya Sanders doesn’t get back in, that stuff happens in this league a lot. So with out further ado lets get the WNBA DFS plays for this slate:

DeWanna Bonner: is the best play on this slate and she has the best matchup against Chicago, who is awful defensively. She should be in 100% of your cash game teams, the usage is off the charts, the matchup is plus. One point she is such a strong play that on FanDuel, it’s almost impossible to justify rostering any other guard over 7k.

Britney Griner: Griner also receives the nut matchup vs Chicago, I don’t hate dislike stacking her with Bonner with it being a three game slate. If this game stays close both can very easily put up sixty plus.

Jonquel Jones: There is an argument right now that Jones is the best player in the WNBA and she has been a DFS stud. She has four straight games of over 40 fantasy points. However, this will be her toughest matchup so far, against EDD. I prefer the price discount for EDD.

Ella Delle Donne: She has been shorted in minutes and usage by blow out and teammates getting hot. Here we have a game that should stay close and played at an up tempo. After Bonner she is my second favorite star on the slate.

Natasha Howard: She is going to be under owned vs. Indiana. Griner just put up 50 plus in three quarters vs. Indiana, this a smash spot for Howard.  She is not going to be owned as much as she should.

Courtney Vandersloot: this is the first game I am a fan of Vandersloot for, you attack Phoenix with guards.

Kristi Tolliver: She is a FanDuel specific play at 6k she is too cheap for an uptempo game that should be close.

Tiffany Mitchell, Erica Wheeler, Kelsey Mitchell: as far as the Indiana guards go, I prefer Tiffany in this matchup cause she will be lower owned and her price on FanDuel is nice. On DraftKings I would probably go Wheeler for the rebound and assist upside.

Lelani Mitchell: she is $3600 on fanDuel almost an impossible fade over there she is too cheap for a point guard seeing the minutes she will see.  On Draft Kings it is an easier fade as there is more value.

Briann January: also too cheap she too has seen a usage bump with Taurasi out.

Cheynee Parker and Tianna Hawkins: these are your recency bias fades for this slate both are backup forwards that set career highs. I will say it would not stun me to see Hawkins have a nice game here.

LaToya Sanders: out of play on DraftKings, but too cheap on FanDuel. Last game was a one percent outcome, I would still recommend her in cash on FanDuel they will need her defense.

Mercedes Russell: The minutes are real thirty plus in the last two games, she has clearly passed Langhorne in the rotation. A+ matchup for Indiana as well.

Alysha Clark: I still like her it’s a positive matchup. I worry about Lloyd and Canada hogging the ball.

Stefanie Dolson: she is too cheap on Fanduel and people will not play her. They will need her size versus Griner.

On this slate on FanDuel I think you eat the chalk on Lelani Mitchell, on DraftKings I think you can fade. I would play Griner or Bonner or both in every lineup.  As always I will add stuff in slack as the ideas come to my mind either WNBA tips or EMAC trolls either way get to slack.
