WNBA Two Game Friday Slate DFS Breakdown

We have an interesting two-game slate. One game that should be a massive blow out, followed by a game between two horrible teams or as Jake Hari and Nolan Kelly would call it, “fantasy gold.” Just a reminder yesterday we had two surprise starters (Cambage and Coffey), so you want to be around about  your lineups 30 minutes prior to lock when starters are announced. Just a heads up I think New York could change up there lineup they are desperate for a win, so anything goes for them tonight.

Dallas at Indiana (The Jake Hari and Nolan Kelly Special)

Dallas Wings

Both of these teams are awful, yet this is by far the best game on the slate. First thing is you are going to see the name Azura Stevens and you are going to go and you press the lock button on her. She is way, way too cheap on FD and way too cheap on DK as well. No one on Indiana can stop her: this is a coming out party. She might not start but she will get all the usage, that is where your lineups start. Kayla Thornton is also too cheap as is Glory Johnson I prefer Thorton as I think Stevens is going to gobble up all of Glory’s minutes.

I like playing two of the three together. The back court is more muddled, the only one I like is Taylor Hill because she is too cheap, and is coming off a knee injury from two years ago. I could see this is a breakout game and she is only 4K. Alicia Gray is too expensive, so I don’t mind Ogbunwale in a GPP (that is tout speak for I am not going to play her but I want to mention her in case she goes off).

Indiana Fever

Shenise Johnson is injured and going to miss this game, which secures the minutes for Kelsey Mitchell, Tiffany Mitchell, and Erica Wheeler. I truly hate playing Indiana Fever guard-roulette, I think the order I prefer is Kelsey > Wheeler > Tiffany but realize the coach will ride the hot hand. As for the front court I cannot justify spending similar for Candace Dupree over EDD ever. Achowa is still too cheap on FD though she is in a time-share with McCowan now, I really don’t want either.

Washington at New York

New York LIberty

On the bright side this game is in New York so maybe the home team keeps this close. I would only play Tina Charles in a game stack with EDD. It’s a bad matchup for Charles though she does play better at home, and if this game stays close she figures to be the reason why. Amanda Zahui is still too cheap on both sites, though she was helped mightily last game by five blocks.

I doubt she does that again, but I would still play her I just wouldn’t lock button (hedge life). Brittany Boyd also lucked into a bunch of steals and blocks last game. Nurse has been awful to the point there is a chance she is awful. I think in a game stack you want Kia Nurse, but if you want the blowout game I think you want Asa Durr. Let other people chase the game logs on Rashanda Gray.

Washington Mystics

The Big news here is Emma Messerman is back in Europe and going to miss this game, so I’ll be rostering Latoya Sanders at $5400 on FanDuel. You should probably lock button that, but on DraftKings at 9k I might still fade. Tianna Hawkins is also too cheap on the sites for the minutes up tick she will see. Kristi Tolliver smashed last game but that was on the back of four steals and a block doubt she does that again. On DK I will never pay 10k for Kristi Tolliver, FD the price is more palatable.

Though I still side on the recency bias fade. Natasha Cloud is too expensive on DK at 8k. I like her better on FD and I like Ariel Atkins a lot on both sites because she is due for a breakout game. I almost forgot EDD she is the top play on the slate I hope people get scared off by minutes but those have been blowouts and she still put up 30.
