Before I get into this slate we have to discuss the elephant in the room: Indiana going into Vegas on the second half of a back to back. I expect this line to open at close to 15. There is massive blow out risk in that game so consider that when making lineups, especially for the WNBA DFS showdown slate
Washington Mystic Guards
Aerial Atkins sticks out as a cash game play on this slate and is really the only guard that is underpriced on the whole slate. Kristi Tolliver might be priced at her ceiling now on both sites. She just doesn’t seem to have that big game in her this year. Natasha Cloud will probably be the lowest owned of the guards and I like her in GPPs here. I am not afraid of attacking Sun guards.
Washington Mystic Forwards
With the substantial blow out risk in the second game I see Ellena Delle Donne as the number one play on the slate. She is at home in a game that should stay close. While the Sun are a tougher matchup the Mystics want to win this game to pass the Sun in the standings. I expect EDD to get extra run. LaToya Sanders is in a timeshare with Tianna Hawkins now and Hawkins also has higher usage. I prefer Sanders on FanDuel with the steal and block upside.
Connecticut Sun Guards
Jasmine Thomas is an easy fade on DraftKings at her price. On FanDuel, it is tougher because she is underpriced. Her back up is out for the season and the Sun are going to want to win this game. I love Courtney Williams in GPPs. Thomas is going to be owned more than her by like 3:1, and on DraftKings where she is cheaper I prefer Williams.
Connecticut Sun Forwards
Jonquel Jones was in massive foul trouble all game versus Chicago so it might keep her ownership down. The Sun are going to lean on her and of the studd bigs she will be the lowest owned. I am not playing Alyssa Thomas vs the Mystics at her price as I prefer Jones.
Indiana Fever Guards
Who knows between the awful matchup and being at the mercy of the coaches whims, it’s anybody’s guess. I like the price for Tiffany Mitchell on FanDuel. She should be safe in a blow out. Kelsey Mitchell is where I would go if stacking the game as she could get hot.
Indiana Fever Forwards
Therea McCowan should be blow out proof. She is becoming a player and is under priced on both sites. I am not paying up for Candace Dupree or Natalie Achonwa here.
Las Vegas Aces Forwards
So Indiana stands zero chance of slowing down Elizabeth Cambage or Asa Wilson. I think I prefer Wilson since it’s at home and I expect her to be lesser owned. But either of them will be able to do whatever they want. DeAndre Hamby is a legit threat to break this slate in blow out run.
Las Vegas Guards
Kelsey Plum keeps breaking my heart. First she dates DAngelo Russell and next she shoots 0 for 8 from the field. How much can one man take? But seriously she really is just shooting bad. I could see her break out of her slump here and no one will play her (well I will but you guys already know that). Kayla McBride is basically the same logic behind the Plum play. People will load up on the Vegas Forwards. Sydney Colson is my favorite “play the blow out in this game” play.
