WNBA DFS Picks: DraftKings & FanDuel Picks August 25th (FREE)

Tonight we have a six game slate on DraftKings and 2 three game slates on FanDuel. FanDuel apparently thinks that the one or two six game slates we get a year we do not deserve. So a word about DraftKings. Diana Taurasi is $3,300. She is going to play today. Now we are unsure of the minutes but I am guessing about 20-25. if she plays you should lock her in on DraftKings. So when I talk about other value plays understand that Taurasi is by far the best value play on DraftKings. New York Liberty Guards

It’s a six game slate this matchup is awful, the price on Tanisha Wright and Kia Nurse is both up. Nurse on FanDuel makes some sense since she is cheap.

New York Liberty Forwards

Tina Charles is the most expensive forward on FanDuel and the second on DraftKings in a tough matchup that is an autofade for me. Amanda Zahuii is hated by the coach but on the FanDuel slate, you can take a shot in a GPP.

Washington Mystic Guards

Natasha Cloud and Ariel Atkins are mostly FanDuel plays for me on the early slate. On FanDuel I would try to get up to Atkins. Cloud just does not have a ceiling. Also on FanDuel guard value is awful. You can take a shot Shatori Kimborough.

Washington Mystic Forwards

If the game stays close Elena Delle Donne could break the slate. This is a great matchup and she is the strongest play on the FanDuel early slate. LaToya Sanders is too cheap on FanDuel as well. On DraftKings it’s hard to play anyone other than EDD here.

Atlanta Dream Guards

On DraftKings the only play I could see is maybe Tiffany Hayes in a GPP. Renee Montgomery is almost the only underpriced guard on FanDuel, she is a strong play there.

Atlanta Dream Forwards

This highly depends on Elizabeth Williams availability. If Williams is out Monique Billings becomes a very strong value play. On the off chance Williams plays, she is my favorite GPP play on the FanDuel early slate.

Dallas Wings Guards

This is where we like Arike Ogwunbale home games in an up-tempo games against bad teams. This is the type of game where she will be chucking and chucking often. Alicia Gray is also a strong play here.

Dallas Wings Forwards

Kayla Thorton’s price is down on FanDuel and her minutes came back last game she just did not produce. She is my favorite value play on the FanDuel slate. I could see taking a shot on Isabelle Harrison who is coming off her bagel last game.

Connecticut Sun Guards

All the Sun’s guards prices are up, Shekinna Stricklen will get all the minutes she can handle she is useful on the FanDuel Early Slate. If you need a value guard Bria Holmes is a strong play there, although she only got 11 minutes last game, she might spike to 20 minutes.

Connecticut Sun Forwards

I tend to not like bigs against the Sparks, and Jonquel Jones has been on a string of disappointments, on FanDuel you can play here she is a fade for me on DraftKings. I hope people chase Alyssa Thomas, I advice you not too.

LA Sparks Guards

Too big of a slate, too many guards.

LA Sparks Forwards

Candace Parker price on FanDuel is too cheap, she should be a core play there. I also really like her on DraftKings in this matchup as well. I hope people are not on her due to her last game. But this is a road game that should stay close I could see the Spark leaning on Parker a lot here. If I like Parker I must like Nneka Ogwumike as well and I do, on both sites.

Chicago Sky Guards

This is such a pace down matchup for the Sky it’s hard to love any of their guards. That being said on DraftKings with a loose cap Courtney VanDerSloot and Diamond DeShields are both strong spend ups at guard.

Chicago Sky Forwards

For the 20th slate in a row Astou Ndour is still too cheap for her minutes and usage. Stefanie Dolson as well on FanDuel, is too cheap.

Phoenix Mercury Guards

People are going to be off DeWanna Bonner cause Taurasi is back, this is such a great spot for her in an up tempo matchup. I like her a lot, I have no interest in anyone else with Taurasi back.

Phoenix Mercury Forwards

Brittney Griner should smash, Chicago should be unable to stop her. Sancho Lytle is back and that will kill the rest of the front court minutes.

Indiana Fever Guards

Tiffany Mitchell is a cheap guard on FanDuel who is interesting, I have no interest in Kennedy Burke at an elevated price tag. On DraftKings I have no interest in Indiana guards.

Indiana Fever Forwards

Teira McCowan had a nightmare game in LA with early foul trouble. I really like her here and hope people are scared off she is starting and I would imagine will see 30 minutes if she stays out of foul trouble.

Seattle Storm Guards

Jewel Lloyd is approaching 30 minutes the last two games, she is way too cheap on both sites for the upside she provides. Indiana is the type of team that Jordin Canada can have big games against turnover prone and bad.

Seattle Storm Forwards

Natasha Howard is the strongest play on the slate, she should be able to destroy Indiana. Mercedes Russell is probably too cheap and a strong play in an easy matchup.

Las Vegas Guards

Kelsey Plum’s birthday was yesterday, and she is too cheap on FanDuel. Actually, she isn’t too cheap she has zero usage with Wilson back, but I want to play her.

Las Vegas Forwards

Elizabeth Cambage is always a strong GPP play as is Aja Wilson as Minnesota’s interior defense is not what it used to be.

Minnesota Lynx Guards

There are just soooo many, maybe you can Odyssey Sims on DraftKings if you stack the game.

Minnesota Lynx Forwards

Sylvia Fowles price is down on DraftKings to where I have interest in an up tempo game where I expect Minnesota to lean on her a bunch. Damiris Dantas broke the slate on Wednesday she was still slated to only play 22 minutes or so but they let her back in to stat hunt at the end. I am inclined to fade here.
