We have a nice little five game slate today and the slates are completely divergent. On DraftKings you can actually play good basketball players whereas on FanDuel their pricing is so tight you have to play bad basketball players. So when I say that someone is a good value on FanDuel it usually means ignore them on DraftKings. Below are free WNBA DFS picks for the DraftKings and FanDuel slate, but make sure to sign up HERE to gain access to all of Awesemo’s premium projections and rankings.
LA Sparks Guards
On a five game slate, on the road in a bad matchup versus the Mystics: this is a fade for me. That being said Sydney Weise is 3900 on FanDuel. She plays 20 minutes. That is the best I can say about her.
LA Sparks Forwards
Candace Parker has been up and down (mostly down) all year. However, her price is down. Now the issue with the Sparks is there are four high usage players in the starting lineup with Riqua Williams going full Lance Stephensen. This has greatly reduced her usage. In GPPs I would take some shots on Candace. This being a big game I could see her showing up and demanding the ball.
Washington Mystic Guards
Natasha Cloud keeps not producing in good matchups. It’s hard to see her doing it in a bad one. I am actually a fan of hers and Ariel Atkins here, as they should both get 30 minutes and are underpriced.
Washington Mystic Forwards
Elena Delle Donne is always a strong play and she has played well lately. But she has not played a fourth quarter in the last 2 games due to blow outs. I like her a lot here. While the matchup is bad, I like the idea of 32 minutes of EDD against anybody. LaToya Sanders is one of the few underpriced players on FanDuel who has also been hurt by blow outs.=
Phoenix Mercury Guards
Congrats on DraftKings for overcorrecting on Diana Taurasi’s price. She is an easy fade now. DeWanna Bonner in this matchup is a nice DraftKings GPP play.
Phoenix Mercury Forwards
Brittney Griner is a beast. She should destroy New York. It’s hard to see how she is not the number one stud tonight.
New York Liberty Guards
Kia Nurse is cheap enough that you can take shots in GPPs.
New York Liberty Forwards
Tina Charles is overpriced, it’s a five game slate, and there are better options. The coach hates Amanda Zahuii.
Las Vegas Guards
Kelsey Plum was benched last game because Bill Lambeer is a bad person. Anyways you can take a shot on FanDuel. Otherwise the minutes and usage for the guards here are a pass for me.
Las Vegas Forwards
Vegas is coming off a bad loss at home to Minnesota. I could imagine a scenario where Vegas commits to getting the ball inside to Elizabeth Cambage and she just destroys Indiana, which she is capable of doing, so she is a strong GPP play as is Aja Wilson for the same reason.
Indiana Guards
These are FanDuel only plays but Tiffany Mitchell and Betnijah Laney are cheap over there and should see over 20 minutes, so both are decent plays.
Indiana Forwards
Finally Indiana realizes Teaira McCowan is their best player. It only took 80% of the season. She is at home and should see 30 minutes. She is underpriced on both sites for her upside. If you fade her you probably need foul trouble for her to bust. Candace Dupree also got 36 minutes last game and is underpriced as well. And yes you can play them both together.
Chicago Sky Guards
Normally people avoid guards against Minnesota but the Lynx have been playing at a high pace recently. This game is very stackable. I am a big fan of Courtney VanderSloot here. She has upped her game and you attack Minnesota with guards.
Chicago Sky Forwards
Minnesota is still an elite interior defensive team. That being Stefanie Dolson on FanDuel is too inexpensive for her minutes. This is where I get off the Astou Ndour bandwagon, though the usage is there.
Minnesota Lynx Guards
Odyssey Sims is an intriguing GPP play coming off a poor performance. With the usage and pace bump I like her a bunch here.
Minnesota Lynx Forwards
Napheesa Collier has out produced Sylvia Fowles in Fantasy Points now six games in a row. That is not a pattern. She is just a better fantasy player than Fowles. Both are in great spots. I encourage you to get exposure to both. What’s nice is both are at a somewhat decreased price from other studs.
Connecticut Sun Guards
Not a big fan of anybody here. Bria Holmes is cheap enough on FanDuel and you can take a shot where value is in short supply. Otherwise Courtney Williams and Jasmine Thomas are overpriced.
Connecticut Sun Forwards
Jonquel Jones usage has decreased recently. I am still a fan, but there are just other forwards I like spending up for more. Honestly, on FanDuel, Morgan Tuck probably isn’t crazy getting about 15 minutes a game at 3.5.
Seattle Storm Guards
Jewel Lloyd might be washed up but she is too cheap on both sites. I do not hate the matchup either, especially if people are off after her horrible game against Indiana.
Seattle Storm Forwards
Natasha Howard gets all the usage on this team. I could see her having a big game here. She got over 40 fantasy points against Indiana and shot horribly. Mercedes Russell’s minutes have been inconsistent lately, but I like her in GPPs.
