The one thing that stands out to you on this slate is that we have a two game slate with the later game having an over under of 166. While the early game is only 154, we have two games but one that is a lot stronger for fantasy. Sign up HERE to gain access to all of Awesemo’s premium projections and rankings. Below are WNBA DFS picks for the 2-game DraftKings & FanDuel slate tonight. Lock will be at 8PM ET.
Connecticut Sun Guards
On a three game slate I would have zero interest here but this is two games. Courtney Williams had a huge game last time out. Her price has come up to where it is close to Jasmine Thomas. Jasmine Thomas is the better play and has been more consistent this year. Shekinna Stricklen and Bria Holmes are value plays that you can consider. Of the two I prefer Bria. She is just the better fantasy producer at this time.
Connecticut Sun Forwards
The Sun traded for Theresa Plaisance this week. She is probably slated to get 15-20 minutes as the primary back up big. She is priced down around the industry and she is my favorite inexpensive forward. Jonquel Jones is in a tough spot. She is probably the second strongest stud on the slate and is playing at home. Alyssa Thomas’ price on DraftKings is very playable despite the tough matchup.
Minnesota Lynx Guards
Seimone Augstus coming back and starting has made this a crowded situation. She cut into everyone’s minutes. The only one that interests me is Lexi Brown in a GPP because she is cheap and can get hot.
Minnesota Lynx Forwards
We have gone over the lack of upside via Syliva Fowles this year. That probably makes her a strong GPP play here. Napheesa Collier is the stronger play on DraftKings. On FanDuel I would like to get up to Fowles. Temi Fagbenle is cheap on FanDuel and has been getting 18 minutes the last two games. She is a fine punt.
Chicago Fire Guards
As this is the best game, this will be where you want most of your plays. Both Courtney VanderSloot and Diamond DeShields are very strong plays here. Honestly I prefer them as spend ups more than Fowles or Jones. Allie Quigley is in a strong spot as well. Jamierra Faulkner is in concussion protocol so that might open up a couple extra minutes for Kaleigh Copper if you are dumpster diving.
Chicago Fire Forwards
Janteal Lavender had a huge game last time out this is a tougher matchup. Her price on FanDuel is still too low. Stefanie Dolson tends to do better in matchups when she is the biggest person on the court so a game against Cambage does worry me. But Dolson has been so strong lately and her price has still not come up to her opportunity. Of the two, I prefer Lavender still. If you are looking for a GPP play Cheyenne Parker’s price has come down to the point that she can eclipse that easily and if Dolson or Lavender get in foul trouble it’s a real nice spot.
Las Vegas Guards
I love Vegas in general here (I assume everyone else will too). Three Vegas in every line you make makes sense. Kelsey Plum’s price on FanDuel is insulting but there is no denying she has struggled, but it’s almost impossible to fade. Jackie Young is playing at home. Rookies at home in the WNBA is a thing and the minutes are okay. The price on FanDuel I love. Kayla McBride might be a favorite high priced guard. Bill Lambeer loves Tamara Young despite her being awfu,l so she is in play.
Las Vegas Forwards
Elizabeth Cambage is clearly the number one play on the slate. Though a word of warning: she is coming off two games of rest. She apparently was feeling run down. I do worry about her not playing 30 minutes, so she is not a lock. But even if she gets 25 I still think she is the top play. Dearica Hamby I like a lot in this spot, especially if Cambage is limited in anyway. If you do you think Cambage is limited or they reduce her minutes consider Carolyn Swords.
