 Let’s dig into the July 3rd Showdown Slate, with New York traveling to Seattle to play the Storm.Â
Seattle Storm Guards
Jewell Loyd is still out and Sami Whitcomb and Jordin Canada are getting the lion’s share of the minutes. I think fading Whitcomb for Shavonte Zellous is interesting here. It is a revenge game for Zellous so maybe the coach gives her more time. It’s completely narrative but she will probably be low owned.
Seattle Storm Forwards
Natasha Howard is the number one play on the slate. She has a great matchup at home, high usage, it’s all you want. I also love Mercedes Russell here. The coach has been talking her up recently as an offensive force. Alysha Clark is in a strong position, but I like Russell over Clark here. Kaleena Mosqueda-Lewis is an interesting GPP play if you think the game blows out. She has been getting 15 minutes or so.
New York Liberty Guards
Kia Nurse’s price is down and is coming off a couple poor games, I like her here. More of a recency bias play than anything. I keep waiting for the Asa Durr breakout game. Now is as good a time as any. Brittany Boyd is one who I will be off here because I expect New York to struggle.
New York Liberty Forwards
Tina Charles is coming off a massive game. I like the fade on FanDuel. It’s hard to do on DraftKings because of their loose pricing. Rashida Grey is priced out of play for me on FanDuel, again harder to fade on DraftKings due to the loose cap. Nayo Raincoke-Eye is an interesting GPP play if you want to go with the blow out narrative. She is also getting 15 minutes a game and is interesting on FanDuel at the min.
