Today, we have a four game WNBA DFS slate that kicks off at eight. Remember the WNBA rules: plays on four game slates should always be strong as opposed to plays on two game slates. On the bright side FanDuel loosened their pricing so there is no need for sketchy plays there as well. One point I would make is I expect ownership to spread out as there are just a ton of good plays on this slate.
Indiana Fever Guards
Normally on a four game slate I would want nothing to do with any guards on Indiana but they are at home with a strong matchup versus Dallas. Kelsey Mitchell has averaged 30 minutes over the last four games. Her price is down on DraftKings and she is playable on FanDuel. If you want to take a flier on FanDuel Tiffany Mitchell is only 4k. The minutes haven’t been there but if for some reason she were to get 25 she could smash.
Indiana Fever Forwards
Candace Dupree is $6300 on FanDuel. I love that price. The minutes can be inconsistent but if playing on FanDuel you should take some shots on her. Teaira McCowan is for real. The minutes are secure and she gets a great matchup versus Dallas. I like her on both sites but she is massively under priced on DraftKings.
Dallas Wings Guards
Let’s take a trip down narrative street. Arike Ogunbowale played her college ball at Notre Dame where she became a star and then had to watch Indiana take McCowan over her with the number two pick. I don’t know if that matters to her but you have a player who likes to shoot a lot in a great matchup with a chip on her shoulder. Alicia Gray’s price is down and the usage as down as Arike shoots a lot but if you think Arike passes the ball today, Gray could be a decent play.
Dallas Wings Forwards
Four game slate so my interest is minimal here outside of Isabelle Harrison, who has played 25 minutes plus the last two games. She has not produced but if there is a game for her to break the snide this is it. Harrison is also under priced on both sites.
Atlanta Dream Guards
Nobody knows what is going on with Atlanta minutes right now. The coach appears to be grasping at straws. Alex Bentley came back from Europe last game and played 27 minutes. She is over priced on DraftKings but is only 4k on FanDuel where she is a cash play. The big loser of Bentley’s minutes was Renee Montgomery. She makes for a strong GPP play off a popular Bentley on FanDuel specifically. On DraftKings I don’t hate taking a couple stabs on Tiffany Hayes with her price down.
Atlanta Dream Forwards
Who the hell knows? Jessica Breland smashes through three quarters last game but doesn’t play in the fourth. The minutes are all over the place here. Breland on FanDuel is interesting in GPPs. Also check to see if Nia Coffey were to draw the start here. She played well last game.
Seattle Storm Guards
Atlanta is awful. Seattle is good. Seattle is at home. Sometimes DFS is not hard. I love Jordin Canada here. Sami Whitcomb is also a strong play. I prefer Canada if you can get to her, though.
Seattle Storm Forwards
Natasha Howard is my number one play on the slate, Mercedes Russell is my number one value play on the slate. Atlanta cannot rebound and has been getting killed by bigs. Alysha Clark as well, but I prefer Rusell to her.
New York Liberty
Phoenix is the slowest pace team in the league. New York is on the road. The Liberty guards are a hard pass.
New York Liberty Forwards
Tina Charles and Rashanda Gray. I just like other players at their respective prices. Charles has been on fire lately. If you want to ride the wave she is fine in a GPP.
Phoenix Mercury Guards
Diana Taurasi is back which greatly limits Lelani Mitchell and Briann January. That being said DraftKings reduced Mitchell’s price so that if you think Taurasi only plays 15 minutes or so she becomes an interesting GPP Play. DeWanna Bonner will take the biggest hit in minutes but no one is going to play her and she was smashing last year with Taurasi in the lineup. I like her as a GPP play. As far as Taurasi I need to see what minutes she is playing first.
Phoenix Mercury Forwards
This is a strong matchup for Britney Griner at home. Taurasi coming back does limit her a little, but she is still a strong play.
Las Vegas Guards
You people know how I much I love Kelsey Plum. FanDuel has priced her at 4300 and really the price on DraftKings is low. While this is a bad matchup you have to play her on FanDuel, but I will say she is not a lock. Jackie Young has seen her minutes decreased, and I’m not paying a premium for Kayla McBride in this matchup.
Las Vegas Forwards
Last write up I was concerned about Elizabeth Cambage’s minutes. The price is too good in a game where they will need her for 30 minutes to have a chance. Asa Wilson had foul trouble last game which led to limited output. She will probably be low owned and a low owned Wilson at home is always a strong play.
Washington Mystic Guards
Natasha Cloud and Kristi Tolliver are both underpriced on DraftKings at 5.3 and 5.6 respectively, especially since you attack Vegas with guards. They are both playable on FanDuel as well.
Washington Mystic Forwards
I love Ellena Delle Donne in tight games that might not blow out and that is this one. I expect Washington to lean on her here. LaToya Sanders is still under priced on DraftKings. I like her over there.
