Alex Baker’s $1 Million NFL DFS DraftKings Millionaire Maker Lineup

There was only one truly chalk play in Alex’s winning lineup: David Montgomery at 32.9% rostership. Every other player was single digits. The big hit for Alex was landing three players over 30 fantasy points, six over 20 and none under 12. He essentially hit ceiling performances with four different players en route to the millionaire maker win.

Alex’s play with this lineup was  a full Seahawks stack, which makes sense given they were playing the Lions. Russell Wilson at only 1.7% rostership made this a low-owned stack with a ton of upside, and nearly every piece of that stack hit, and then some. Tyler Lockett was the only relative dud among him, Wilson, D.K. Metcalf and Rashaad Penny, and he still pulled in a touchdown en route to 12.1 fantasy points. Interestingly, Alex was the only top-10 finisher in the contest to employ the Seahawks stack, as most others rolled with the Bengals. And while that paid off nicely for many of those users, Alex’s low-owned pivot proved the difference.

The other huge pay-off from that same game was the run-back of Amon-Ra St. Brown. St. Brown had two touchdowns, one rushing and one receiving, while also hitting the 100-yard receiving bonus, in what turned out to be the slate’s top shootout. Alex picked the right game to target here, and now he has $1 million to show for it.

His chalk play of Montgomery was strong enough to exceed value, and the low-priced swing at Jaret Patterson from Washington resulted in about as close to a home run as Patterson can offer, going over 20 fantasy points at just 5.5% rostership. Tyler Higbee provided enough at a low salary as well, and the Saints defense got seven sacks to secure Alex the top spot. Side note: Every top-10 lineup in the Millionaire Maker had either the Bears, Saints or Colts as their defense.

All told, Alex’s decision to role with a contrarian Seattle stack proved an effective gamble with this lineup, and just about every single player here gave him a quality output. Congratulations to Alex for the huge win!
