Week 5 PrizePicks CFB Over/Unders | Saturday, Oct. 2

Casey Thompson — Over 238.5 Yards Passing

Thompson looked fantastic last week, throwing for over 300 yards on only 23 passing attempts. Texas takes on TCU as 5-point favorites in a game with a 65.5-point total this week, and 238.5 yards is too low. Texas is a run-first team, but they will need to throw the ball to open up the running game, and Sarkisian has the quarterback to do it. TCU has a solid pass defense, but in their two games against FBS opponents, they averages 10 yards allowed per passing attempt. These teams run over 65 plays a game, and Casey Thompson will be around 260 yards passing.

Tiyon Evans — Over 62.5 Yards Rushing

This year Evans has split carries with Jabari Small, but both could go over the 60 yards against Missouri, who allows 270.8 yards a game and 6.2 yards a carry. Lew Nichols, Chris Rodriguez and Pat Garwo ran for over 130 yards against this defense and averaged over 7 yards a carry. Tennessee is 3-point favorite in this game, and in their two wins Evans managed to get to the 15-carry mark. With that volume of carries, he will cover the prop.

Leddie Brown — Over 84.5 Yards Rushing

Brown has yet to get 20 attempts rushing in a game this year, but in the one win against a competitive opponent, he had 19 carries and ran for 161 yards. Last year he received over 20 carries on six separate occasions. This year he is averaging 4.9 yards per attempt, and last weekend their first Power Five opponent in Texas Tech gave up over 300 yards on the ground.

Jordan Whittington — Over 63.5 Yards Receiving

Whittington is the most talented receiver on Texas and received 35% of the targets last weekend against Texas Tech. Whittington has averaged 61.3 yards, but that average should rise to 70. TCU has given up big plays, allowing two wide receivers to go over 100 yards receiving in their two FBS games.

Jameson Williams– Over 3.5 Receptions

This game against Alabama and Ole Miss has a 79-point over/under and had a 111-point total last year. With the expected pace of the game and no true dominant running back, Williams should get a lot more volume than he has seen this year. In Alabama’s one competitive game against Florida, Williams ran 88% of the routes and managed eight targets. Last year against Ole Miss Jaylen Waddle and DeVonta Smith both had over five receptions.
