We have a very fun Game-7 between the Winnipeg Jets and Nashville Predators tonight with the winner getting a chance to play the Vegas Golden Knights in the Western Conference Finals. I like to have a least one full 3-5 man stack and then figure out my roster from there, but there are tons of ways to go about making a Single Game/Showdown lineup. We’ll go over some of the scoring differences on both sites for single-game contests, and then I (Tommienation1) will follow up with a stack and a few individual skaters I am targeting tonight.
The scoring system on FanDuel will essentially be the same outside of no goalie, but you will want (what you think will be) your top scorer to be in your “Captain” spot where you’ll get all of his scoring times 1.5. On DraftKings, Goals (8) and Shots on Goal (2) are weighted more than they are in the traditional scoring, but the faceoff bonus (0.2) is a little bit of a game-changer, making centers and guys who take face-offs a little bit more valuable. Winning goalies will (in general) also score very well, which is similar to traditional scoring.
NSH1: Forsberg-Johansen-Arvidsson ($31,300 DK/$33,900 FD)
It’s hard to argue with what this line has done these playoffs, accumulating a 52.8 Corsi For Percentage, over 30 Scoring Chances For per 60 minutes, and 15 High-Danger Chances For per 60 minutes. They should get a high-event, back-and-forth matchup with the Jets’ top line. They aren’t very difficult to fit in on DraftKings so they’ll be very popular, but with the way this line is playing right now, they’re a scary fade for me.
Mark Scheifele ($12,000 DK/$11,400 FD)
Scheifele will be up against the Predators’ top line, which, as noted above, has been great offensively. However, defensively on home ice in this series, NSH1 has surrendered 39 Scoring Chances Against per 60 minutes and 14.7 High-Danger Chances Against per 60 minutes. Scheifele will get you extra points for his face-off wins as well, and he’s playing on one of the best lines in hockey in the middle of Kyle Connor and Blake Wheeler. If the Jets are going to compete tonight, I would assume we see a lot of production out of their top line and Scheifele is obviously a huge part of that.
Kevin Fiala ($5,300 DK/$7,900 FD)
Since being scratched in Game-4, Fiala has come back and played like he’s had something to prove. Over the last 2 games, he is behind only Filip Forsberg in shot attempts (11), Scoring Chances (10), and High-Danger Chances (4) at even-strength. With the focus being on the top lines for both teams for tonight’s slate, Fiala makes for an excellent one-off or mini stack either of his linemates (Turris, Smith) as they’ve looked fantastic in Games 5 and 6.
Jacob Trouba ($6,000 DK/$8,700 FD)
Trouba racked up another 5 shots on goal in Game-6 and he should be firing away tonight in his high-event matchup. While we’d love to fit in Dustin Byfuglien, Trouba is a $3,4oo discount on DraftKings but has attempted just 5 less shots (37 to 32 in Byfuglien’s favor) this series. He’s a nice value defenseman that allows you to do a lot with the rest of your roster if you can’t afford to fit in the Roman Josi’s and P.K. Subban’s.
