  • Weight: 125 lbs.
  • Reach: 64 in.
  • Record: 6-3-1
  • Striking Accuracy: N/A
  • Betting odds: -185

Veronica Macedo is a Venezuelan mixed martial artist and a southpaw with nice footwork. She throws a nice jab, overhand left combination that is dangerous when landed clean. Macedo throws nice front kicks to the body and head and she will mix in knees and elbows to the body. She does a good job of throwing counter check left hooks and counter straight-left hands. Macedo has struggled on the mat with grappling and that is her biggest weakness, although she has been working to improve her grappling skills. In this fight, I think Macedo’s best path to victory is keeping this fight standing and using her footwork and head movement to get inside.

Bea Malecki

  • Age: 28
  • Height: 5-foot-8
  • Weight: 135 lbs.
  • Reach: 74 in.
  • Record: 3-0-0
  • Striking Accuracy: N/A
  • Betting odds: +160

Bea Malecki is coming into this fight with an undefeated UFC record and will be looking to keep her winning streak alive. Malecki is a former rock climber, which has giving her tremendous arm and hand strength. She has the tightest squeeze on the rear naked choke in the bantamweight division. Malecki has nice shoulder and head feints, and she throws a nice jab, straight-right hand combination. Her weakness is holding her hands down when countering, which leaves her vulnerable to being hit.

My preferred play is Malecki. I think her best path to victory is to take this fight to the mat and use her anaconda squeeze to seal the submission win.

MMA DFS Pick: Bea Malecki via Second-Round Submission.
