MLB picks: Our FanDuel MLB DFS Cheatsheets column highlights value plays in each price range for fantasy baseball lineups for July 21.

The following Spotlight Hitters were selected by Awesemo.com’s Director of Content Josh Engleman. Please check back later for notes/additional picks from Awesemo himself.

Matt Joyce
FD: $2800
DK: $3500

The A’s have the second highest implied total and they face a righty (Doug Fister), which means you can roster Matt Joyce. Joyce’s career splits are dramatic.

VS. LHP: .186/.269/.305 | HR/FB: 10.8%
VS. RHP: .252/.353/.457 | HR/FB: 13.1%

To get a guy with his talent versus righties, at his current price point, is an absolute no-brainer.

Nomar Mazara
FD: $3200
DK: $3500

Switching dugouts, we have Nomar Mazara. With the highest implied total on the slate, there were a few options from the Rangers that would work here, but none have the bargain price like Mazara. Mazara has been dramatically better versus righties in his career, which is always good news when you see Kendall Graveman on the hill for your opponent.

Lucas Duda
FD: $2300
DK: $3200

This one is sneaky. The Royals have a middling implied total. You wouldn’t expect to come here for a bat, but Lucas Duda’s price makes him impossible to ignore. Duda smashes righties. Chacin has struggled majorly versus lefties in his career (4.77 xFIP vs. LHH, 3.71 xFIP vs. RHH). This is the perfect storm.

Awesemo’s Notes
I agree with Josh about Matt Joyce being an easy play tonight. I think Mazara and Duda are great values on tonight’s slate. Duda’s price on FanDuel especially jumps off the page.
