Although there are eight games to choose from, I will choose the two most profitable targets and sort through the areas to attack. Judging from the betting money pouring in on the White Sox, it looks as if they will have a successful Wednesday evening. In addition, Chicago’s implied team total got a huge jump from 4.8 at the open to 5.2 currently; That 0.4-run swing is the second-largest increase for any team on tonight’s slate.
Hopefully the All-Star break helped Pineda because the White Sox were all over him recently. In his last outing, which took place two weeks ago, Pineda allowed 12 hits and five runs to this same Chicago squad. The two-week hiatus is unlikely to be a benefit, as Pineda has failed to reach five strikeouts in each of his last four starts.
On the other hand, Cease exceeding 6.5 strikeouts seems far more likely. In fact, he has fanned at least seven batters in four of his last five starts. The Twins rank in the bottom 10 of strikeout rate (22.7%) against right-handed pitching, but Cease does have 22 strikeouts against them in 16.1 innings this season.

Harper gets to take aim at the short right field porch at Yankee Stadium against Asher Wojciechowski, who certainly should not be pitching at the MLB level. No one is hotter on the planet than Soto at the moment. Since returning from the All-Star break, he is 11-for-20 with five homers, 12 RBIs, eight runs and five walks. Abreu has been raking to the tune of a .316 batting average over the last 10 games to go along with 12 RBIs. There has to be an average of a homer per player to hit this line, but this trio is as safe a bit as possible to do so.
