This fight against Yair Rodriguez should be an absolute firework. Both fighters are ranked in the top three of the featherweight division, and the winner could possibly find themselves getting a title shot against Alexander Volkanovski. That said, Holloway is possibly the best boxer in the UFC, and we can expect a high-volume fight from these dangerous strikers. Holloway will overwhelm opponents with combinations of volume and power making it almost impossible for them to find their rhythm. For DFS, Holloway’s volume, power and finishing abilities makes him a solid play in all formats. Awesemo’s projections give Holloway 86% win odds with a 42% chance for a knockout.

Mid-Priced Picks
Marc Diakiese | DraftKings: $8,700, FanDuel: $19
Diakiese returns for his first fight since July 2020. Looking back, Diakiese started with an undefeated UFC record (3-0), then suffered three straight losses. That said, Diakiese’s opponents in that losing stretch were Drakkar Klose, Dan Hooker and Nasrat Haqparast, and all three were at the top of their game and extremely dangerous. I expect this to be a close fight, but look for Diakiese to attack Rafael Alves’ lead leg with nasty kicks while looking for the finish. For DFS, Diakiese is a risky play, due to his 16-month layoff but could payoff with a finish. Awesemo’s projections give Diakiese 64% win odds.
Ben Rothwell | DraftKings: $8,600, FanDuel: $18
Rothwell will utilize his height and reach advantage to clinch Marcos Rogerio De Lima, backing De Lima up against the fence in hopes of wearing him down. His style is awkward at times, using speed and odd movements inside the octagon, but has huge power and is extremely durable. Rothwell will be looking to inflict damage to De Lima to the point of fatigue, then utilizing his dangerous striking and slick submission game to finish De Lima. For DFS, Rothwell is a solid mid-priced play for GPPS. Awesemo’s projections give Rothwell 59% win odds with a 32% chance for a knockout.

Kennedy Nzechukwu | DraftKings: $7,900, FanDuel: $15
Nzechukwu will boast a five-inch reach advantage, while looking to land his power left-hand early and often. His cardio is solid and could play a huge part in this fight. If Nzechukwu can keep this fight standing and use his reach to keep Da Un Jung at distance, he will have a solid chance at finishing Jung. Although Jung has never been knocked out, but I expect Nzechukwu’s pressure and power could overwhelm Jung, while leaving his chin exposed. For DFS, Nzechukwu is a risky value play, but I expect we could see a knockout in round two. Awesemo’s projections give Nzechukwu 48% win odds.
