Teams Playing the Second of a Back-to-Back

Philadelphia 76ers, Atlanta Hawks

Milwaukee Bucks at Philadelphia 76ers

Bucks – Brook Lopez, Khris Middleton, Donte DiVincenzo – Out

This has been the situation for the Bucks in the past few games, but the notable aspect may come in Jrue Holiday. He reclaimed his starting spot in this past game and played 30 minutes. At some point, he becomes a value on DraftKings, and it appears that is still the case. Holiday is not even $6,500 and since the start of last season, he has 1.20 fantasy points per minute when Middleton is missing to go along with a 26.2% usage rate. Philadelphia missing Ben Simmons and Joel Embiid make its defense much weaker on top of that.

If Bobby Portis remains in the starting lineup, he is going to have to remain in consideration. Portis has 1.32 fantasy points per minute dating back to last season and always manages to stuff the stat sheet in some fashion. Of course, Giannis Antetokounmpo is always in play but the discussion may turn more toward if he can be comfortably played on DraftKings. The salary is $900 more than any other player and the strategy comes into play.

76ers – Joel Embiid, Tobias Harris, Ben Simmons, Matisse Thybulle – Out

It is unclear if this is sustainable in consecutive games, but last night all five starters (Andre Drummond, Tyrese Maxey, Danny Green, Furkan Korkmaz, and Seth Curry) all played 30 minutes. Each of those players except for Green played 38 minutes or more. Only Georges Niang and Shake Milton came off the bench and played 25 and 22 minutes each.

DraftKings did at least bump up Drummond’s salary in a major way up to $7,700 and he likely will not be the free square he was last night. Milwaukee has not been locking down the paint quite yet this year as they rank 13th in points allowed in the paint and 28th in rebounds in the paint allowed. The Bucks are also only 13th in rebounding overall and it could be a very interesting time to stick with Drummond if some of the field balks at the salary. All of these players have at least 0.87 fantasy points per minute, and everyone is on the table at 35 minutes or more.

Atlanta Hawks at Utah Jazz

Hawks – Not Yet Submitted

The official version of the NBA Injury Report for the Hawks will not be out until this afternoon. It is not an easy trip for the Hawks to play the night before and then fly into Utah. Having said that, Atlanta had no injuries to report last night so time will tell if anything pops up for them tonight.

Jazz – Rudy Gay – IR

Utah awaits the Hawks as a fully healthy squad, at least as is known right now.

Serge Ibaka did make his debut in the past game but only played eight minutes. With the amount of time he missed, it will take some time for him to work himself up to any type of minutes worth playing. Both teams are in the bottom half of the league in 3-point attempts allowed, in the top half in possessions per game, and the game has a 221 total.
