March 20

  • A number of Coronavirus test cases among NBA teams were released. Among those that tested positive:
    • Three members of the 76ers staff.
    • Marcus Smart of the Celtics.
    • Two players from the Lakers who remain unknown.

March 19

  • Wojnarowski reported that players are allowed to leave their team markets, but they have been encouraged to remain in the cities where they play. They will not, however, be allowed to leave North America.
  • Woj also reporting that teams are encouraged to close down all facilities, so players will not be able to get work in their team facilities.
  • The Denver Nuggets have reported that one member of the organization has tested positive. He has been in self-isolation and under the care of medical staff since Monday.

March 18

  • FanDuel is hosting contests on “NBA Sim Leagues” with some similarities to a typical FanDuel contest as far as player selection. Fans will pick two point guards, shooting guards, small forwards, power forwards and one center with a $60,000 cap. However, the statistics for each player will come from random draws of games played during the season, thus eliminating importance of matchup, environment, etc. Read full information HERE.

March 17

  • NBA will hold a call today between owners and the commissioner, per Wojnarowski.
  • The Nets released a statement saying four players have tested positive. One is exhibiting symptoms, the other three are not.
  • Kevin Durant is reportedly one of the Nets who tested positive.

March 16

  • Adrian Wojnarowski tweeted that because of the CDC’s recommendation of no gathering of 50 or more people for eight weeks, the NBA is looking at arena dates through August.
  • Wojnarowski also reported that Adam Silver is giving the suspension “at least 30 days,” but the league is preparing for a three-month hiatus and eyeing a June return to action.
  • NBA is allowing players to leave their teams’ cities, per Wojnarowski.
  • Wojnarowski also reporting that there is a willingness around the league to potentially use practice facilities for games with no fans.
  • G-League seasons are expected to be canceled.
