DraftKings and FanDuel NHL Stacks of the Day for 3/26

We get a big 9-game Monday slate with dozens of stackable options tonight for tournaments. We shouldn’t have to worry about ownership too much, but there are a couple of “nut” spots that will likely carry the most ownership — TB and LA are those spots for me. However, you’ve got two viable lines on each of those teams, so it’s possible that no lines’ ownership gets out of hand like we saw with DAL1 last night. With that bein said, here are a few stacks that I don’t think will have a lot of ownership, and either have great point projections or have some value. We’ll have Awesemo will weigh in on each stack, and then I (Jake Hari/Tommienation1) will follow up with some additional analysis for this fantastic slate.

FLA1: Dadanov-Barkov-Bjugstad ($20,800 DK/$19,400 FD)

“The Panthers’ implied goal total is up 20% on their yearly average, and it’s no surprise as they’re facing an Islanders team that gives up some of the most chances in the NHL.”

You’re not getting a discount on this “A” points grade stack, but they may get you the raw points you need to have success in GPPs this evening. The Isles are still giving up top-5 Scoring Chances Against per 60 minutes (SCA/60) and High-Danger Chances Against (HDCA/60) in the month of March, and the Barkov line should see the Barzal line (33.8 SCA/60, 11/8 HDCA/60) and Tavares line (35.5 SCA/60, 14 HDCA/60) at even-strength. Dadanov and Barkov will also play on the top power-play unit, and we know the Islanders also struggle on the kill, owning the league’s worst penalty-kill in the NHL this year.

MTL1: Byron-Drouin-Gallagher ($14,900 DK/$16,100 FD)

“The Canadiens’ top line is one of the better value stacks on the slate tonight as they are at home against the Red Wings, and their implied goal total (over 3) is 0.5 goals over their season average.”

Awesemo referenced the Vegas implied total, and that’s certainly in the Canadiens’ favor here, but we should also look at the Drouin line’s even-strength matchup. Montreal has been hard-matching them against opposing top-lines in their last few home games, and that would likely mean a date with Dylan Larkin and his linemates, who have allowed over 22 HDCA/60. This is a stack (“A” value) that should be low-owned in tournaments, but this is in exceptional matchup at even-strength, and these guys all play on the top power-play as well.

SJ1: Kane-Pavelski-Meier ($17,500 DK/$18,200 FD)

“The Sharks have a healthy 3.3 implied total on the road against the Blackhawks, and this is shaping up to be another great matchup for the Pavelski/Kane combination.”

You’ll want to check on this line in pregame skate to make sure that Meier sticks on the top line, but this is a fun line that could be a nice pivot off of TB, LA, FLA, and any of the other popular options tonight in tournaments. These are three guys that shoot a ton, and the Kane/Pavelski combo has been simply dominant at even-strength (39.4 SCF/60, 18.9 HDCF/60). Chicago is trending in the opposite direction, allowing the 8th-most SCA/60 and 2nd-most HDCA/60 in March, and experimenting with line combinations. The addition of Meier to this stack may help you save some money to afford a guy like Brent Burns, who would make a great addition to this high-upside stack.
