Best Knicks vs. Celtics NBA Player Props Bets Today | New York Online Sports Betting

Alec Burks, Over 4.5 Rebounds (-145)

Awesemo Projections  5.8
Expected ROI 12%
Expected Win 69%

There are two Alec Burks props that I like today. His over 4.5 rebounds and over 2.5 assists. Both come in with the same value, but we have a slight lean based on expected ROI and expected win percentage to his over 4.5 rebounds. Burks has moved back into the starting lineup for the Knicks last two games and has had six and nine rebounds. Burks has started in 14 games this season and over that stretch he has averaged 5.4 rebounds per game. He has had five or more rebounds in 10 of his 14 starts.

The other reason I lean more towards Burks and his rebounds prop is due to how awesome the Celtics limit assists from their opponents. They allow only 21.6 per game which is the second-best in the league. The Celtics also allow 9.2% isolation plays which ranks fourth in the league in frequency. They rely on their incredible defenders playing man-to-man defense and rightfully so. However, they have allowed 45.6 rebounds per game which is 11th-most in the league. Burks has averaged 37.1 minutes per game in his 14 starts, so he will get plenty of opportunities to get five or more rebounds tonight.

Al Horford, Over 6.5 Rebounds (+100)

Awesemo Projections  7.3
Expected ROI 22%
Expected Win 60%

It is time to provide a little juice to your player props. This Al Horford over 6.5 rebounds prop comes in at even-money. Not only is this the best value prop, our model has this prop projected at a 60% expected win rate. Horford has has seven or more rebounds in five of his last six games. The only game he missed was against this Knicks team in their last game. He finished with only four rebounds in 31 minutes. Those four rebounds tied a season-low for Horford. I don’t expect that to happen again.

The Knicks are a middle-of-the-road rebounding team. They rank 10th in Rebounding Percentage this season and have allowed the 14th-most rebounds with 44.6 per game. The Knicks shoot just 43.6% from the field which ranks sixth in field goal percentage this season. There will be plenty of rebounding chances for Horford tonight. Feel free to take this prop straight up, but pairing him in this 3 Leg Same Game Parlay I have listed below is very enticing.

RJ Barrett, Under 18.5 Points (-120)

Awesemo Projections  16.3
Expected ROI 24%
Expected Win 66%

There is a chance that game-winning buzzer beater last game will propel RJ Barrett to a new found confidence, but I am trusting the numbers with this prop. Barrett shot 4-15 from the field against the Celtics last game and his game-winner gave him 13 points on the night. This Celtics defense ranks eighth in the league in Defensive Rating and they have three very dynamic defenders that can slow down Barrett. The Knicks are implied for only 100.5 points tonight as they are 7-point road underdogs. I do like the Knicks in this game, but I don’t see the points coming from Barrett tonight, at least not 19 or more.

Barrett has scored 19 or more points in his three previous games before the Celtics. However, those were against very poor defenses. Barrett has only played in two of the three games against the Celtics this season. In those two games he played 80 total minutes and only attempted 26 field goals. One of those games went into double overtime. He made 10 of those 26 field goals for an average of 38.5% from the field. The Knicks being dead last in Pace this season also doesn’t help the outlook of Barrett’s points prop. The Celtics aren’t too far behind as they rank 23rd in Pace. I would consider taking this prop down to 17.5 points tonight.
