Gary Harris Under 14.5 Points (-140, PointsBet)

With the Orlando Magic starting to get healthier, there is bound to be a decline in shot attempts for Gary Harris moving forward. In fact, Harris only attempted nine shots from the field in Sunday’s loss to the same Washington Wizards team that the Magic will face tonight. Six of those attempts came from three-point range. Despite knocking down three of them, Harris still finished the game with only 11 points. While that total falls right in line with his per-game scoring average of 11.6 points on the season, it is well below tonight’s NBA player props line of 14.5 points.

Even with -140 odds required to bet this under, Awesemo still sees tremendous value in this prop bet tonight. It is worth noting that OddsShopper currently shows all but one sportsbook in the NBA betting market listing this line one point lower at 13.5. Having easily finished under the number in two of the last three games, Awesemo gives Harris a 67% probability of coming up short again this evening. Despite the juice required, this under prediction still has a 14% expected ROI at the favorable line.

Onyeka Okongwu Under 8.5 Rebounds (+100, Caesars)

Thanks to both center Clint Capela and power forward John Collins being sidelined on Sunday, second-year player Onyeka Okongwu saw 38 minutes of action for the Atlanta Hawks. He piled up 10 rebounds in the process, outperforming his per-game average of 6.1 rebounds handily. While Capela is unlikely to play again tonight, Collins is expected to be back for a matchup against the Miami Heat. Given that both teams play at fairly slow tempos, there will likely be fewer shot attempts and this rebounding chances in this game. Even though Okongwu should once again exceed his playing time average, he will be hard-pressed to top the elevated NBA player props line of 8.5 rebounds.

While Awesemo’s projection of 8.28 rebounds for Okongwu is not much less than the NBA betting total, bettors have favorable odds working in their favor. OddsShopper currently shows the market is juiced to the over. This has resulted in an even-money price of +100 on the under. Combining the projection and odds together, Awesemo gives this under prediction an expected ROI of 13%.

Dejounte Murray Over 9.5 Assists (-112, SugarHouse)

With Derrick White still stranded in COVID protocols, Dejounte Murray is in line to orchestrate the San Antonio Spurs offense once again tonight. While Murray managed to score 24 points against the New York Knicks on Monday, he was largely held in check as far as his playmaking goes. The Spurs have a much more favorable defensive matchup tonight against the Houston Rockets. While Murray’s total assists prop line of 9.5 is higher than his per-game average of 8.9 on the season, Awesemo expects him to surpass it with relative ease.

Since returning to the lineup from his own stint in COVID protocols, Murray has dished out nine assists or more in three of four games played. Only Monday’s outing in New York saw him fall well short with five assists. However, Murray also played fewer minutes in what was the second game of a back-to-back for the Spurs. Overload will not be a concern tonight against a Rockets defense that allows the most points per game (116.4) of any team in the league. Awesemo’s projection of 11.18 assists translates to a 69% win probability and 30% ROI at the preferred -112 price.
