NBA Betting Prediction: NBA Player Props | June 13

Kyrie Irving (BKN) Under 28.5 Points (PointsBet)

Even with James Harden remaining out of the lineup, Nets point guard Kyrie Irving has continued to fall short of his season scoring average. After scoring 26.9 points on a per-game basis this year, Irving has only eclipsed that mark twice in eight postseason games. Neither of those outings has come in Brooklyn’s Eastern Conference Semifinals series against the Milwaukee Bucks. After witnessing the defensive slugfest that was Game 3, it’s hard to get overly excited about betting any scoring NBA player props over today. This is especially true for Irving, with the line sitting at 28.5.

Although he has consistently scored in the 20s throughout the playoffs and in this series, Irving is yet to have more than 25 points in any game of this Round 2 series. The Bucks got the Game 3 victory that they so desperately needed, but they also need to take Sunday’s matchup if they want a real shot at winning this series. The Nets had shooting percentages off the charts as a team in the first two games. Look for Milwaukee to bring a defensive mentality once again this afternoon. Irving is always going to get his, but this line is just too high given what we’ve seen in the playoffs thus far.

Khris Middleton (MIL) Under 7.5 Rebounds (BetMGM)

Anytime we can find plus-money odds on an NBA player props wager that reflect a star’s season average, it’s worth a look. That is precisely the case with the rebounding prop for Bucks forward Khris Middleton. The 29-year-old has stepped up on the glass in a big way for Milwaukee in this series. Outside of the Game 2 blowout loss, Middleton has had double-digit boards in both of the other games thus far. The 15 he grabbed in Game 3 marked a playoff-high and were also nine more than his season average of six per game.

Khris Middleton NBA player props expert betting odds picks predictions tonight Sunday June 13 over/under points rebounds assists Bucks vs Nets

The Awesemo NBA Player Props Tool has its eye set on playing under 7.5 rebounds for Middleton in Game 4 on Sunday. Such a prediction sides with his mean season-long rebounding production. It also could land bettors a profitable return given the plus-money odds. The tool projects a 35% Expected ROI on this prop. The Bucks have no shortage of big men and rebounders when you consider Giannis Antetokounmpo, Brook Lopez and Bobby Portis also will be on the floor. While Middleton’s rebounding contributions have certainly been welcome, a repeat of Thursday’s effort is unlikely.

Cameron Payne (PHX) Over 2.5 Assists (BetMGM)

Reserve guard Cameron Payne has certainly made the most of his postseason minutes thus far. With the Suns on the brink of advancing, perhaps Payne will see even more playing time on Sunday. In 17 minutes during Friday’s Game 3 win, Payne finished with nine points, three assists and two steals. It marked his second three-assist game of this series and the fifth game in the playoffs in which he has exceeded the NBA player props threshold of 2.5 total assists. With plus-money odds doubting he can replicate the performance in Game 4, it’s worth considering for our NBA betting picks.

On the season, Payne averaged 3.6 assists per game. One hesitation for bettors might the notion that Payne saw more playing time in the regular season than he is in the playoffs. However, that isn’t exactly the case. He averaged just 18 minutes per game on the year, a number that he has actually exceeded in six postseason games thus far. With the way Phoenix’s offense is clicking right now, Payne showed in Game 3 that he is plenty capable of putting up assists even in limited minutes. The Denver Nuggets have had zero answers for the Suns through three games. There’s no sense in fading a plus-money opportunity on Payne to exceed 2.5 assists.
