Best NCAAB Bet Today: Wyoming +4
In a battle of No. 12 seeds, Wyoming takes on Indiana as a 4-point underdog. This spread opened much closer to a pick-’em, with Indiana taking heavy money throughout the week. Wyoming finished the season 25-8 and fourth in a loaded Mountain West Conference. The Cowboys finished 4-5 in Quad 1 play but 7-1 in Quad 2, giving them a solid level of competition this year. They are the more offensively sound team in this matchup. Wyoming ranks 63rd in defensive efficiency, while Indiana checks in at 132nd. The Cowboys lead the country in post-up rate and run much of their offense through Graham Ike. Indiana faces plenty of solid big men in conference play, but Wyoming also shoots well with Hunter Maldonado and Drake Jefferies. Jefferies in particular shoots 42% from beyond the arc. Meanwhile, much of Indiana’s offense flows through Trayce Jackson-Davis. Wyoming ranks seventh in interior defense and 111th in rebounding, mitigating some of Indiana’s greatest advantages. Indiana also ranks 136th in fouls, committing 17.2 per game. Wyoming draws 19.2 fouls per game and shoots a decent 73% from the free-throw line. Ultimately, these teams play a similar style of basketball and have similar strengths. With so much offense coming through the frontcourt, this game could come down to who commits more fouls. With Wyoming getting 4 points in such a volatile spot, backing the Cowboys +4 is the official call here.

A play-in game for the right to play Kansas, Texas A&M Corpus Christi faces Texas Southern as a 3.5-point underdog. Texas A&M Corpus Christi finished fourth in the Southland Conference but overcame Southeastern Louisiana to earn the automatic bid. Texas Southern finished second in the Southwest Athletic Conference but also upset Alcorn State to punch their ticket to the NCAA Tournament. This is an interesting stylistic matchup for both schools, as Texas A&M Corpus Christi ranks 174th in offensive efficiency and 97 in defensive efficiency while Texas Southern ranks 238th in offensive efficiency and 27th in defensive efficiency. These teams play a similar style of ball, doing most of their scoring inside. Both teams rank inside the top 100 for 2-point field goals attempted. Each team also ranks inside the top 50 in rebounding. However, two small advantages point to Corpus Christi here. Texas Southern struggles with turnovers, and Texas A&M Corpus Christi ranks 13th in the country in turnovers forced. They play a similar style through their frontcourt, and both teams rank in the top 100 for fouls committed per game. However, with a tight spread, this could work in Corpus Christi’s favor. Texas Southern ranks 319th in free-throw percentage, and Corpus Christi ranks 65th. Similar to the game above, Texas Southern has taken money but Corpus Christi is a live dog at +3.5.
