The Pacers are coming off complete domination over the Hornets in their first play-in game, keeping their playoff hopes alive. Despite the long injury list, Indiana found a way to put up a crazy 144 points. Domantas Sabonis was an assist shy of a 21-rebound triple-double, while Doug McDermott and Oshae Brissett combined to shoot 17-for-23 in the starting lineup. Caris LeVert landed on the COVID list, so he is out for up to two weeks no matter what. Myles Turner remains without a timetable for his return (toe). Jeremy Lamb is also out, and Edmond Sumner and Malcolm Brogdon are both questionable.
The Wizards are coming off a loss against the Celtics. Getting outplayed in the third quarter turned out to be a death sentence for Washington. Bradley Beal was inefficient from the floor, and he was seen grabbing his hamstring throughout the entire game. Much of the weight will continue to be on Russell Westbrook, though he also has been inefficient on offense, shown by his 33% shooting and four turnovers last game. The Wizards did sweep the Pacers in three games this season, so they will attempt to keep that going.

Both of these teams have key injuries. Beal is clearly not anywhere near 100% for Washington, while Indiana has quite a few players out. The difference with these injuries is that the Pacers depth can fill in holes, while the Wizards need 30 points from Beal to win this game. Since I do not think Beal is healthy enough to make this happen, I will side with the Pacers today. Sabonis should also kill this Washington team.
