How to Bet Bulls vs. Grizzlies Tonight: Best NBA Bets & Player Props 1/17/22

Things are starting to crack for the Eastern Conference leading Bulls, both on and off the floor. Chicago has dropped four of its last five games and will be without Lonzo Ball and Zach LaVine in Memphis. Both will sit with injury and Alex Caruso continues to miss time on the COVID list. The Bulls will have to lean heavily on DeMar DeRozan and Nikola Vucevic to stay in this game. Memphis collapsed against Dallas only to see an eleven-game win streak stopped by the Mavs. The Grizzlies are relatively healthy, only down Dillon Brooks to an ankle injury. Ja Morant continues to do whatever is necessary to keep teammates involved and his team winning games.

Best Bulls vs. Grizzlies NBA Bets Today & Odds Shopping

The easiest place to find the best bets in the NBA is on the one-stop shop for value and where to place a wager. The best part is the tool is free and easy to use. Simply filter, sort the page and find the best return available across all books.

Grizzlies -4.5 1st Half Spread (-110, BetMGM)

Memphis just needed a little rest, be it in the form of a day off or getting blown out of the building against Dallas. This is still the team that won eleven straight, not needing Morant to lead the team in scoring each game. This is also a team that still ranks near the middle in defensive scoring, so they are not required to put up 125+ points to win games. The Bulls are down two key contributors and will need a half to figure this out, especially on the road. The Grizzlies should come out firing after their loss to the Mavericks, and the Bulls look a little lost figuring out their new rotation tonight. OddsShopper gives us the ability to sort by a bunch of options on this game, from spread to totals, where we found an extra half-point on BetMGM.

Nikola Vucevic Over 10.5 Rebounds (+100, FanDuel)

This is the highest return for any player prop in this game, as projected by both OddsShopper and Awesemo. We know Vucevic will be on the floor for extended minutes with both LaVine and Ball missing time, as Chicago will need as many scoring threats as possible. Memphis will not be able to body him outside of the paint, and there should be some offensive rebounding opportunities for Vucevic. OddsShopper sees a 35% expected ROI and 64% chance of this bet hitting. While he has only gone over this number one time in the last four games, we should see a bump based on minutes and matchup alone.

DeMar DeRozan Under 27.5 Points (-105, DraftKings)

This is a gut play with the help of projections as a guide. It would stand to reason that DeRozan would have a huge night scoring to make up the void left by absent teammates, but the Grizzlies are ready. It is not anything close to a lock on OddsShopper with a 52% chance of this bet staying under, but we do get a -105 return on something not nearly as risky as it seems. There may simply not be enough time for DeRozan on the floor tonight to score 28 points. The Bulls will certainly need time without Ball and LaVine to adjust, but the Grizzlies will not allow that. Memphis could be up so much that DeRozan does not play much in a blowout, also limiting his chances of scoring.

Ja Morant Under 25.5 Points (-114, FanDuel)

We have a little tighter of a projection for Morant but still enough of a gap to play this prop. Morant’s scoring has dipped at times, but other areas of his game improve. The biggest change is not needing Morant to score 30+ points in order to win a basketball game, as Morant failed to score 20 in three of his last four, three of those being wins. OddsShopper has a 60% chance of this play staying under with Awesemo’s 23.5-point projection. Be it the Grizzlies getting up and staying up on this undermanned Bulls team, or Memphis moving the ball with a more-balance attack; Morant can easily stay under this number while the Grizzlies dominate.

Jaren Jackson 3+ Made 3-Pointers (+370, FanDuel)

Jaren Jackson takes the second-most three pointers on the Hornets and still has a favorable return at only 3+ made threes. This should be a lower return based on volume but increased because Jackson has been struggling from three. While he has missed far more than he has taken, the point is he is still launching each night. The shots are not going away, and neither is the ball from Jackson, as the Grizzlies will keep feeding him from three. He comes off an 0-6 night which certainly helped move the line in our favor. It is not a huge ask for a guy who has enough attempts to knock down three of these in his sleep, he just needs to wake up and make a shot.
