How to Bet Nuggets vs. Clippers Tonight: Best NBA Bets & Player Props 1/11/22

There are no surprises with the script coming into this Tuesday night matchup in Los Angeles. The Nuggets are hot, led by Nikola Jokic shredding double-teams on a nightly basis. The Clippers are barely alive as they have dropped six of ten, coming off a rare win on Sunday against the Hawks. COVID protocols will keep Will Barton out for Denver and Luke Kennard sidelined for the Clippers.

Best Nuggets vs. Clippers NBA Bets Today & Odds Shopping

The easiest place to find the best bets in the NBA is on the one-stop shop for value and where to place a wager. The best part is the tool is free and easy to use. Simply filter, sort the page and find the best return available across all books.

Nuggets -0.5 First Quarter Spread (-110, BetMGM)

After looking at recent starts for the Nuggets against bad teams, the best play on the game starts early. Denver has gotten up big over the Kings then Thunder in the first quarter, setting the tone for eventual victories. Rather than take the chance that Denver will let a team still missing Paul George creep back in late, ride the early wave of Nuggets momentum. Denver should put this game out of contention after one quarter. The Clippers are still figuring out starts to games as they shift their starting lineup around injury and COVID. Getting Ivica Zubac back in the lineup or having Marcus Morris stay out of foul trouble is not enough to scare Denver.

Ivica Zubac Over 7.5 Rebounds (+100, BetMGM)

Thanks to OddsShopper, bettors can see some solid margins to work with when it comes to Zubac against the Nuggets. With his return from COVID, Zubac becomes the top rebounder by default on the Clippers. He is also back to playing more minutes, which transfers into more rebounding opportunities. Zubac has cleared this number in four of his last five games and hit seven in the lone outlier. OddsShopper has a 67% chance of this going over with an expected ROI of 34%. Awesemo has Zubac down for 8.9 rebounds, making this a solid play all around.

Nikola Jokic Over 13.5 Rebounds (-110, FanDuel)

Jokic has been on a double-double tear, but he needs to be on the higher end of this number. OddsShopper shows that this is a little easier than it may appear. Awesemo has Jokic projected for 15.1 rebounds, and OddsShopper has a 66% chance of the prop hitting. Since hitting 21 rebounds in late December, Jokic has gone over this prop total in six of his last eight games. The matchup is favorable, as the Clippers will be more worried about slowing down Jokic as a scorer, mainly because they do not have enough talent to keep him off the glass. Given the gap between Awesemo’s projection and what the book is offering, the -110 return looks even better at FanDuel.

Austin Rivers Over 8.5 Points (+104, FanDuel)

The revenge game for Rivers (not really) provides some motivation against a former team. Bettors also get nearly a full point between Awesemo’s projection at 9.4 and the book at 8.5, and the +104 return makes it even sweeter. OddsShopper has provided all of that data in one play, including a 56% chance of this prop going over. Rivers comes off a season best 22 points on six 3-pointers and will have more scoring opportunities with Barton out on the COVID list. Rivers will get plenty of looks, especially from 3, to help boost this prop over the total. Expect Jokic to look for Rivers plenty on the perimeter, as Jokic is doubled every time he touches the ball.

Austin Rivers 4+ 3-Pointers (+1000, FanDuel)

The Long Distance Launch features a guy who should still be red hot from 3. Rivers will get plenty of looks and was sharp against the Thunder, going 6-for-9 from behind the arc. The Nuggets are down Barton and will see plenty of doubles on Jokic. Aaron Gordon is not going to vulture any 3’s away from Rivers, and neither is anyone else since Rivers has shot the ball so well. Barton is the leading 3-point shooter on the Nuggets by a mile, and they will force some looks towards Rivers. Bettors are more than welcome to take three-plus 3-pointers at +290, but the return with a little more risk is much more appealing.
