NFL Futures Bets + NFL Odds: 2020 Buffalo Bills Over/Under Win Total 9.5 | NFL Picks

The 2020 NFL season is coming in hot, which means your betting card for the season needs a double-check. We’re going to be going over a copious amount of NFL futures bets, NFL odds, NFL betting picks and NFL predictions for the 2020 campaign. Sportsbooks have released win totals for every team, and we’re going to examine strengths, weaknesses, schedules and make predictions on the over/under. Right now, we’re looking at the Buffalo Bills.

What a time to be on the bandwagon of Bills mafia these days. Even in a season full of uncertainty and perhaps without fans for the early going at least, the Bills have a team ready for their best season in seemingly forever. In fact, you have to go back all the way to 1994 when the Bills had a win total at 9.5 or better. Where were you in 1994? Michael Jordan gave up being the best basketball player in the world and the baseball season did not have a postseason due to the strike. Times were wild back then, but it seemingly still cannot hold a candle to the year 2020.

Buffalo finally has a respectable offense, but their defense is what carries them on a weekly basis. From 1989-94, the Bills were nearly on top of the football world. They received double digit projected victories by the experts in the desert and they were winning playoff games. Buffalo still has not won a playoff game since 1995. The addition of Stefon Diggs was a great pickup, but rookie runner Zack Moss was a great pickup also. If Josh Allen can be half as effective as a passer as he has been as a runner, this team could soon turn into that dazzling and entertaining 90’s bunch.

Buffalo Bills Strengths

Josh Allen is one of the best redzone monsters in the NFL and he is just a developing quarterback at age 24. Allen has one of the strongest arms in the game and the trio of Diggs, Cole Beasley and John Brown could quietly become one of the better ones in the AFC. Moss and Devin Singletary should complement each other well in the backfield, but their offensive line should be solid again as well. This team does not have too many glaring bad spots on the roster. Tre’Davious White could be the premier corner in the NFL although most would say he plays second fiddle in his own division to the reigning defensive player of the year in New England. White allows the secondary to make tremendous plays thanks to a few ball-hawks. Micah Hyde and Jordan Poyer are one of the best safety duos in the league and many feel they are not quite yet household names. They should all become a popular tandem in 2020.

Buffalo Bills Weaknesses

Last year was tough since the Bills finally reached the postseason. They had major heartbreak in their Wild Card loss to the Texans. Allen made a few ill-advised plays in the passing department that had many scratching their heads. The one where he fumbled the ball intentionally was certainly baffling. Is he ever going to develop into an above average passer in the league? He needs to be at least average at completing passes in 2020. He was not even the best Allen at completing passes a season ago, ranking dead last in the NFL with a 58.8 completion percentage. He must stay healthy and take less bumps when he is running. There is not a superstar back that they have so Allen must take care of the ball and make the easy completions look as such.

Buffalo Bills Schedule

Taking on the AFC West will be quite the challenge for the Bills on both sides of the ball. Allen must move the chains against a division that is just as physical as the AFC East. Allen’s development in 2020 really will be intriguing to watch as he finally has a true number one wide receiver caliber of a target in Stefon Diggs. Diggs and Allen could connect on a few deep ones this season, which is both their strengths. The schedule is fairly a walk in the park in the early going compared to the back half. The NFL scheduling gods gave Buffalo a back loaded slate. In three of their final six games, we will see the Bills in the national spotlight. If they want to impress America, winning the division and finally dethroning the Patriots from winning their 12th straight division crown would be a hell of a start.

NFL Prediction

Give me some buffalo wings and a ton of barbecue food because I am all in on the Bills being the team to win this division. They just need to stay healthy and get a tiny dose of lady luck on their side. Most outlets have the Bills NFL future at or near 9.5 wins. The juice will jump all over the place depending if you get the number at 8.5, 9 or 9.5. From a value standpoint, 9.5 seems the way to go. They should start out at least 6-4, but have a strong chance to be a few games better. There is plus money for the total at 9.5 and there is hardly any juice on 9 wins. Either is good value as the Bills look poised to reach double digits.
