Browns vs Steelers Game Info

Cleveland Browns (4-1, 1-1 Away) vs. Pittsburgh Steelers (4-0, 3-0 Home)
Date: Sunday, Oct. 18, 2020
Time: 1 p.m. EST
Venue: Heinz Field — Pittsburgh, PA
Coverage: CBS

The Browns continue to be without Nick Chubb, and the secondary is both beat up and weak. However, they are coming off a hard-fought win over the Colts last week. Cleveland benefited from the weak play from Philip Rivers in that game. He threw a pick-six and was the reason for a safety. These nine points were the difference on the scoreboard.

This week, Cleveland plays a complete team, as the Steelers are strong on both sides of the ball. The big task Cleveland faces is Pittsburgh’s run defense since the Browns want to establish the running game with Kareem Hunt. Despite giving up a big 74-yard run to Miles Sanders last week, the Steelers are still second best in the league in yards allowed per attempt at 3.3. Aside from that 74-yard run, Pittsburgh held Sanders to six yards on 10 carries. If the Browns cannot run effectively, can Baker Mayfield do enough to win the game?

The Steelers have two big losses on offense, with both Diontae Johnson and David DeCastro out for this game. Still, the loss of Johnson hurts less after the massive four-touchdown game from rookie Chase Claypool last week. Cleveland has given up the third-most passing yards per game this season at 296.4. The way to attack the Browns is clearly through the air, and Ben Roethlisberger should look to do just that on Sunday with a talented group of receivers at his disposal.
